Remarks

Our college management is good enough to meet all our basic need as a student. They are doing their best to bring us forward in technical fields. They are showing a lot of interest in our future and that's really appreciable. Only one thing they have to do is to encourage us more so that we can bring laurels to our college. They should think about extracurricular as overall development is required in industry. Only smart people will survive, rest will fail.

Entrance Preview

I've given JEE and KCET exams to get my dream college. As I belong to J&K so govt has given us some special status like PMSSS, it's a scholarship which meets all our needs based on money. Apart from that, I've given my KCET also as it's for Karnataka students but being a Kashmiri we have some percent quota in every college in India. This is not a reserved category but I was lucky enough to get this college. My admission process was a hectic work. A lot of document verification. Later I met our Principal and that was my interview didn't know before that, he took it in friendly behavior. It went well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Being honest I didn't know my college wasn't autonomous, it is under VTU scheme and that made me disappointed a little bit because you know govt takes a lot of time in every work so that time I was a little bit upset. Coming to the point of courses, all courses under VTUis not yet modified but some subjects are well made to meet industrial needs. my college being under VTU is bounded to fulfill the university needs but apart from that, it provides a lot of innovative ideas, many industrial visits that make my college different.

Internships Opportunities

As I'm a second-year student so don't have any idea about internship but I can say that my college helps students to get the internship on their own ability and skills. That's the best part as we get an opportunity to show our talent in our interested fields.

College Events

4

These are days when we feel we are not boring though. (xD) We have our annual fest that comes in even semester that's called Utsaha. Its really exciting and fun-loving fest. All departments give its best to make it on the grand level. We've department technical fests every semester. Its lot of fun to see the new projects, new ideas, new innovations. Many students take part in the fests. They show their interests in technical and non-technical events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not expensive, it's up to the mark. Being in Bangalore everything is expensive then. There are many quota in our college like NRI, Management, SC/ST and so on. According to the convenience, the fee structure is plotted. The management fee is around 3lakh, it varies for NRI students. For students under KCET, they have some relief and for other based on their scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships in our college for SC/ST. Many brilliant students also avail this great opportunity. The loan facility is also there.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is not boring, its exciting and refreshing also as our campus is placed in between trees and greenery. It feels delighting to see the peace view on our campus. There are many workshops happening in a year, there are many clubs in our college like Eco club, NCC, NSS Rotary club, Android Dev etc. The gender ratio is fine in our college. There are many students coming from other parts of the country like Bihar, UP, Gujarat, J&K, Nagaland, etc Not only this there are many students from UAE, Afghanistan, etc. There is student diversity in our college and that makes us united under one roof.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I'm hostelite. My hostel is well maintained, all rooms are spacious, there is cleanliness everywhere. The housekeeping department in our hostel is well-behavior and cleans daily. The hostel rooms are divided according to room capacity. There are 3 sharing and 2 sharing rooms in my hostel. As many girls are there in my hostel so our college has booked a PG for some girls. That PG is provided with great security. The best part is that our hostel is in the main city area, so we don't have problems in getting items for our daily use.

Alumni/Alumna

We have workshops where we call our seniors and Alumina for guidance. They interact with we people and tell us their experience what should we do to survive in the cut-throat competition. Recently we got our Alumni who have started his startup, he encouraged us for joining him. In short, our Alumni and seniors are really helpful.

Admission

Let's begin my story. It was online work we guys have the chance to choose our dream college based on our rank and percentage. I chose my college because I've heard a lot about it in my stare. I clicked on BMSIT&M and finally, got my admission letter. That day was really annoying . I had to stand in a long line to get my letter but finally, I got and it was a fruitful one. then what I booked my flight tickets and landed to Bengaluru, the IT hub and then came to my college. That was really along journey for me.

Faculty

4.5

The heart of college or we can say the building blocks are the professors (faculty). They are really giving their 100% in shaping our careers. All my professors are well educated with higher degrees, they know how to tackle day to day problem. They give us real-life examples. They are really honorable. Such great brains in our college.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
