Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since childhood I wanted to be a lawyer, the professional intrigued me. My father used to make me watch interviews of prominent lawyers and after a while I started watching videos of Mr. Ram Jethmalhani, even in movies court room dramas fascinates me a lot and I knew law is the profession for me. The faculty is really good, the professors of the college are very knowledgeable and friendly. They make sure that the student's doubts are cleared and they explain every concept in a very simple manner. The quality of teaching faculty is very good. Exams are conducted after every 6 months, since there are 2 semesters in a year and apart from that monthly unit tests are conducted.

Internships Opportunities

4

I had interned with 2 law firms i.e. Lawyer's Knit and Shailendra & Associates. there I took care of the filing and drafting of cases. I also had to prepare briefs of the case. i worked on different kinds of Civil as well as Criminal cases.

Placement Experience

4.5

5th year (Final year) ICICI Bank, Wipro, TCS, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahendra. Highest working package is around Rs. 15L PA and average package is around 7L PA. 80% of the students get placed. I wanted to pursue litigation after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is very reasonable as the college comes under Army Welfare Education Society. Therefore, for Army wards the fees is very reasonable, although the fees is a bit higher for students who are not from Army background. I got placed from college in a law firm and my first salary was Rs.25,000/-.

Campus Life

5

The library of the college was very good, you could find almost all the law related books and are allowed to take books to read. The classrooms had all the basic amenities including an AC and a screen, even the seating arrangement is very good. Since it is an Army college, the level of our college sports teams are very good. We participated in many fests conducted by other law schools. Our basketball team is supposed to be one of the best in the entire law school fraternity. Moot Court Society and Debating Society are some of the social groups of our college.

Hostel Facilities

5

Rooms are very clean and spacious. We lived in a double room accomodation and the college provided us with all the basic amenities such as AC and clean washrooms. The kitchen facility was very good. The chefs were very good and meals provided were very hygenic. Once we get the admission, we had to fill a form for the hostel rooms. I was living in the hostel.

Admission

First we had to give an enterance exam and once you clear the exam there was a group discussion and based on the performance of the exam and group discussion a merit list was generated by the college. There are 80 seats and 64 seats were reseved for the Army wards, so if the rank is under 64 then the person would get selected.

Interview Experience

5

Which approach should India use for Pakistan i.e. Amicable discussion or use of power. First we have to give an MCQ test and once we clear the test, group discussions were held and based on the performance of the candidate merit list was generated by the college. There are 80 seats in college. I was preparing for Common Law Enterance Test and used to read law journals and newspapers to develop my legal accumen.

As regards comprehensiveness course curriculum is wide enough to include the legal disparities of society but if you will go into practicality it might differ in some or the other way. Exam timing for mid term is 1 hour while for end term exams is 4 hours.

Placement Experience:

The placements on the campus are not really good but they are in a okay stage where you find some companies coming to the campus for the placement, but the students here prefer to go for judicary more than placements so that makes it even for the students. Students from 5 year are approved for the placements .
