Remarks

Nice place to be where you get a good exposure since you get in touch with people from all backgrounds and all parts of the country. Further, the students are self motivated as they are inspired by their seniors. The management isn't much student friendly and doesn't respect the privacy of a student's life.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is decent but the same needs to be revised to keep up with the time changes. Since the college is affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala, it follows the curriculum of the university and the semester system as devised by the University.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are decent and the college tries it's level best to arrange internships for the students. With regards to stipend, I'll say that it just depends on the luck of the student if the law firm or office or company offers the same.

College Events

4

National moot court competition and National Seminar is hosted by the Institute. Apart from that sports day,aw quiz, batch dance and other countries curricular activities are conducted thouroughout the year on each working Thursday.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to other top law colleges the fee structure is feasible. The fees is revised every year generally by 10%. The candidate is given the choice to either deposit the entire fees at the beginning of the year or else in two installments at the beginning of each semester

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships have been instituted by alumni and various business organisations like TATA, ICICI and tier 1& tier 2 law firms for different subjects. A special Chair for Constitutional Law has alo been insituted by Hon'ble member of parliament Mr. K.T.S. Tulsi with a scholarship amount of Rs 1 lac.

Campus Life

3.5

The Institute encourages it's students to participate in sporting activities and co-curricular activities. Debating society, Mooting society are in place and students from all the years can become it's members. Guest lectures are regularly organized to keep the students updated and to widen their horizon

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel rooms in comparison to other top law colleges are not big but are spacious enough for double sharing. The infrastructure is also decent and in case any student doesn't want to avail the hostel facility they can do so however certain amount towards the hostel development fund is to be paid with the fees. Lunch is provided by the college for all working days for all students irrespective of their hostel status

Alumni/Alumna

The college in comparison to other top law schools is relatively young and is still trying to strengthen its network. However, the alumni are welcoming and always open to help the students in whatever way they can.

Admission

The college had a good reputation in the legal fraternity and was and is ranked amongst the top law colleges in the country. The admission process for All India category and wards of Army personnel is based on the rank secured in the ntrance examand further base on 12th class merit if the ranks of two or more candidates clashes. For Punjab category candidates admission is given based on 12th standard merit.

Faculty

2.5

Would rate the faculty 3 out of 5 and would like to say that there is a need to recruit a few experienced professors since majority of the faculty comprises of young graduates who join the Institute as a stepping stone towards a better future in the teaching field

In our college student become elgible for placement from 9th semester onwards i.e the second last semester. Many law firms and private companies and banks visit our colege like HDFC bank,HCL and many private firms and offers range from 4LPA to 6LPA. The highest package offered in our department was of 21LPA and average package is 3.5-4LPA. About 50-60% students get campus placements and rest opt for private consultation on out of campus interviews for better oppurtunities. Otherwise CU give gives guarantee they can get 100% placemn=ent of they go through TPA i.e the placement department After getting the degree I aspire to join law firm in my own family and work under the.
