Remarks
I grew up in this college. I was protected and free at the same time. I was never a party person so the curfew timing never was my enemy though for some it was a huge deal. The culture of Punjab is also beautiful and we're situated close to the hills.
Course Curriculum Overview
Frankly, it's not the fault of our college that Punjabi University has an old curriculum. A day in AIL would ideally be 4 hours of regular classes, after lunch 2 hours of presentation classes and then you're free for the day after 4pm. This schedule goes for 3 years. In the last two years of the college you get free after 2pm following which you can join internships.
Placement Experience
Our college gives you the freedom of forming a Placement Cell which includes elected batch mates. These people are responsible for getting internships and companies to the college. The student body is super enthusiastic about this and gets a fair amount of Placements.
College Events
We have our annual day, AWES day, sports day, talent hunt day, singing competition, intra batch dance competition and blood donation camps. Every student of our institute participate in them with excitement.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I'd say it's feasible. Other institutes are way more expensive than this institute. What I did in 6 lac is done in over 15 lac. Hostel food and housing is included in the fees and is fairly priced. One year in the colege cost a little over 1 lac.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't apply for any so I really dont know. There are a few scholarships that can be won in our institute. A few of my batch mates also made through. Additionally if you have 75% and above in law, army gives you scholarships.
Campus Life
There are no dorm parties in this college. It's a close knit society with very tolerant people. We never have discriminated against any one based on their sexual orientation, economic status, race, religious beliefs. We celebrate all religious festival together.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, they are helpful peopel who make efforts to get you a job and I was blessed with seniors who supported me during hard times. I am in touch with a lot of them and they have always helped me out. They support you even if they don't know you.
Admission
Well, you sit for an entrance exam by the name of LET. This is conducted every year by Punjabi University. This college is a private institution affiliated to Punjabi University. There 80% quota for children of defence.
Faculty
We have a helpful and family like faculty. They are approachable and genuine. Some of them are permanent and have been teaching here since 10 years. They have mastered their subjects and teach flawlessly.
