Remarks

The college management is one the finest in Kerala. If the students face any kind of problems , the management immediately takes action to resolve it.

Entrance Preview

KEAM ( KERALA ENGINEERING AND MEDICAL) EXAMINATION. I chose FISAT because it's one of the top self-financing colleges in Kerala as it promotes both academic as well as co-curricular activities of a student. I took electronics and instrumentation due to its immense demand in the job market.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

FISAT comes under KTU which is relatively new university whose first batch will pass out by 2019. The course structure of KTU has a wide scope of research as many programs were introduced to us during our first year. These programs included entrepreneurship classes and innovative challenges. All these were compulsory.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides internship. This year we had TCS giving internships to many students. No stipend is given still it's a great experience for students as many of them will get their first experience of an industry.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement at FISAT is high. Last year around 250+ we placed. Companies like TCS, IBM, Wipro, L&T, Byjus, Federal Bank, South Indian bank. There were three or four rounds of excessive interviewing and other selection activities which ultimately led to the selection of students. The starting package for all the companies were above 3 lakhs per annum.

College Events

5

Our college has both technical and cultural fest. The technical fest is called Nautilus. It has a wide variety of workshop and competitions in which people from all over India come to participate. Workshop range forms basic Arduino classes to Ducati Superbike workshop. The arts festival known as Bhratham is also a grand event. Around 6+ lakh rupees are given as cash prize for events in Bhratham. Different competitions like spot choreography etc are done. This too has national level participation

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is quite feasible as Kerala govt has given a strict fees structure for every self financing college to follow. The fees is around 60k per annum for students who got admission through merit and 1.5lakh per annum for students who got admission through management seat. Around 3lakh is the fees for students in NRI quota.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes FISAT provides many scholarships. It provides scholarships for students who's parents are in FBOA, a body for federal bank employees. It also provides fee waiver scheme for students who has excelled in both 12th and KEAM. Also caste based scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio and diversity in Fisat is high . Students from all over India and abroad takes admission here. Male and female students are almost about equal in number. But male students are slightly larger in number. Fisat provides many extra curricular activities such as NSS, robotics club, literary clubs , photography clubs etc. Many clubs are present here.

Hostel Facilities

4

The food in hostel is top class. Different varieties of food can be obtained on different days. A mess committee is in charge of Hostel mess and it changes every semester. Students from every semester is included in this message committee. The mess committee only decides on the menu for that semester.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes , alumni's provide as a path to get placed in core companies. With there guidance, we get to know more about the scope of our branch . They also provide as link between students and core companies as they'll help in forwarding resumes of top students.

Exam Structure

As the university doesn't conduct university lab exams, it isn't very hectic.Only lab internals are there and that are done according to a class convenience. All the internal exams have sufficient gaps and since module tests are done regularly, it's easy for students to write the internal exams.

Admission

I wrote the KEAM examination and as the rank list came out, I gave FISAT as my first option. Later I was called out for counseling. At the time of counseling I met with my Hod and other staffs of my department. I also went to see the hostel .Since everything was satisfactory I paid my fees as soon as possible.

Faculty

5

The faculty of FISAT is top class. Most of them are IIT, NIT graduates or postgraduates. They do their level best in helping students. They even take remedial classes for students whom they feel are weak in certain subjects. The faculty here makes us feel at home and can be reached at any time for any help.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
