Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in mechanics before, so I decided to got to take mechanical core as my subject. It had a very huge number of vacancy, more that 20,000 students got selected in that particular year. people most from the eastern side of the country. Qualification of the faculty was on top, with their teaching making it easier for the students to cope out with the ongoing course. difficulty was moderate to high regarding the exams and timing were in the month of May for even sem and Dec for odd
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship in Egypt, Pixels markerspace. It was organised by AIESEC organisation which is a student exchange program and it really helped in learning Solid Works by professional Egyptian Engineers.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester i.e 4th year of the course the students get to attend their placement sessions. Companies such as Amazon, High radius, Accenture, cognizent, infosys and lot more were seen visiting our campus Highest average package is 8.5 lacs pa and Amazon offered the highest salary during my time. percentage was quite high My plans were bit different i wanted to join the army cracking the CDS exam organised by UPSC. But it was unfortunate not to get selected and now I am over the age limit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study when i joined was little bit higher than the previous years. No Scholarship was availed and got the chance to do intership in abroad through AIESEC being tied up with KIIT. Financially it was personally handled and there were many companies visited for campus placements.
Campus Life
The annual fest are up to the mark because they invite well know singers and artist to entertain the students and end up with a stress relieving event for the students KIIT had one of the city's biggest library available for the students at flexible hours Classrooms were lot bigger and white board with projector was provided to help out the students learn virtually. It is a big area and there many courts and fields distributed around the college area including gym and swimming
Hostel Facilities
I was in a 2 bedded attached bathroom and AC room which felt like a good hotel to check in and not a hostel. It was completely convenient to stay Meal quality was average as it becomes difficult to manage food for such large number of students Registration will be done during the counciling No, i stayed in hostel for the entire course
Admission
Yes, we had to crack an entrance exam called KIITEE(Kalinga institute of Industrial technology entrance exam). Application process is quite simple, we had to go to their official website and there we got the link to register for the upcoming examination for admisssion. Eligibility was depended on our Higher Secondary and entrance exam result combined. The female students were giving first councilling to book the courses of their own desire and then, The students of Scheduled caste and scheduled tribes were given the chance to select their courses and lastly, the gen and obc category got the chance. No improvement is suggested from my side, it was all well and smooth.
Other Applied Colleges
SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
Researched and compared both the colleges and found KIIT would be more beneficial for me.
