Life At Nirmala

Insight into human behavior: Many individuals study psychology because they want to better understand themselves or those around them. Through a bachelor's degree in psychology, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the many factors that affect human behavior. There are up to 50 students in one class. And for each department contain of 4 to 6 faculties respectively .Teachers qualifications is most important has the eligibility of master's degree or more degrees in related subjects. There are two sem in one year and students are required to attempt 2 internal exams in one year. The marking system is based on the performance of the students in exam and there will be an internal marks it will depend on the class performance and extra curriculum activities and behaviors of students.

Away from academia, I've attended online courses and webinars on human behaviour and mental health. I did my 1 week clinical psychology internship at mental health centre Trivandrum as part of our degree program.These experiences has been both humbling and enlightening, teaching me a lot about human behaviour and the power of empathy.

The fee for first semester and second semester is 12500 respectively. For 3rd semester to 7th semester fee is 15000.The programme B.Sc. Psychology includes Common courses, Core courses, Complementary courses, Open courses, Seminar, Project, and viva voice. No course shall carry more than four credits except practicals. Every student has to select one open course in semester V offered by various departments of the College.Bachelor’s in psychology is one of the most chosen social science courses. It is a career-oriented course that paves the way for progressing a professional vocation in IT sectors and Software Industry. After completion of the course, the students can get diverse opportunities in many major social domains which are very much relevant in everyday life.

The Aleyamma Kuriakose Memorial central library of the college, located in the new block has a collection of more than 10,000 books and has subscriptions to nearly 6 periodicals and 9 Journals. A series of events including literary, Creative arts, fine arts, musical events and sports were conducted . The events showcased many creative and attractive talents of the students.The ardent support from entire staffs and students made Nirmala Fest a remarkable event.The physical education department of Nirmala Arts and Science College is very keen on developing an ambience of sports and games for its students.  Participation in sports and other physical activities can have many benefits for students.

Nirmala College,  Admission 2023-24 for UG Programmes (Management) has started. Students can submit online applications only through online mode.Candidates seeking admissions under Management quota are requested to submit an online application form given in this website after registering in Common Admission Portal  of Mahatma Gandhi University. Merit seats and all other special categories are allotted by University. Application process will be completed only after paying application fee in online mode. Eligibility of the course is depends upon the higher secondary marks. Application form can be find in the college directly or admission through allotments is possible to enter the course. Management quota seats will be filled by the management after considering applications for Management quota.
