I chose this course because this is the best option from a person who is from a commerce background. The faculty of Commerce department in Dyal singh college is actually pretty good. They have deep knowledge about the subjects that they're teaching and encourage student teacher interaction. Exams are conducted timely.

Internships Opportunities

Ferns and petals, internselite, outlook group, pre grad are a few companies to name out of 300+ that visited last year. The stipend rages from 3k per month to 30-40k per month. The most offered profile is of business development and social media marketing along with finance HR graphic design etc

Placement Experience

From 5th semester students become eligible to sit for placements. 95+ companies had visited in the past year and more than two hundred students got placed. Highest package offered was of INR 36 LPA. I too will sit for placements in my final year

The fees is very affordable if compared to other universities and colleges. Though the placement cell of our college floats various stipend based opportunities in form of internships and fellowships I have not yet actively taken part in any

Campus Life

The annual fest conducted by the commerce department is communique which is conducted in the month of March. Our college library has vast collection of books and study material. Our college does not have the best of infrastructure but they have recently installed new benches in classroom. Sports and extra curricular clubs are very actives. Placement cell is run by the students for the students

Admission

I wanted to apply to Delhi university and you had to appear in CUET. The course eligibility included subjects such as accountancy, English, maths and economics. No cutoffs were released before appearing for the test and even before filling out preference sheet for colleges. Application form was available on the official website of CUET. I did not avail any reservation benefits. Improvement could be possible with respect to the datesheet of cuet exams

SOL the best college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had taken admission in SOL for BCOM HONS because my stream was in 12th commerce so I had preferred to go in the commerce line. On the other hand, I had to do CA so this line is similar to this that's why I applied for it. Bcom Hons exam conducted annually (part1,2,3) annual mode when I took admission. it is not difficult for me because I studied all subjects in CA so it is easy to pass exams for me.

The college provides internship opportunities from the 2nd year onwards. The college provides 20-30% definite placements to the students. And almost 80% of students get internship experience and exposure from the college itself. Placement packages are average but also depend on the person and his/her skills. The average package ranges from 2.5-3.5 lacs approximately. Top recruiting companies like AIMS India, Insurance companies, and E&Y. Many more companies visit onboard for the opportunity of Jobs and internships. My immediate step after the degree of graduation is to have practical experience in the real world and work to gain that exposure and have my further studies post that.

According to the official college reports the average package offered to the students is 6 lac per annum and the highest package offered to the students was 21 lac per annum. The recruiter's list could see big names like Bain & Co., Zomato, McKinsey & Company, Deshaw & Co., EY among many others. The students start applying for the placements around the 5th and 6th semesters. Many students also get Pre Placement Offers depending upon their performances in their internships. It has a great academic value and tops the chart of the best colleges in DU also the faculty is pretty co-operative. It has a great exposure to sports also. With extremely helpful and experienced faculty members, I am certain that I took the right decision to join this college. If you have the will to work and seize every opportunity that comes your way, look no further and be apart of the SBSC family. Only negative point is that college dont have own hostel.

I would say that my college is surely a good one its a really prestigious college and after living there for 3 years i get to know why it is that much prestigious. But if there is positive sides there are negative sides as well. College should have to take care of the infrastructure of the college which is quite poor and old too.

During my application process, CUET was introduced and there were so many confusions at the moment and I think somewhere I didn't fill my preference sheet well. Life and Times at Dyal Singh College

The admission process was simple, smooth and hassle-free. In the year 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic where we feared lots of hurdles, the entirely online process went as well as it could have been. There were no entrance tests then and the only eligibilty criterion was a good AISSCE percentage.
