I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in. So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people. The best aspects of the college is the campus. It's the second largest campus in India. A lush green campus with a very good mess facilities. The buildings are great. Hostels are also good. Evrything about infrastructure was a plus point. Only negative point is the non availability of airport due to which some companies refuse to come a pick students. I choose NIT Rourkela because of its eminence in Higher learning. Admission to our institute will start around July and classes will start from August. Reason for choosing this college over others is because of the course I was looking for was provided by our institute.
