Nit Rourkela Review

My branch is chemical engineering and as i have researched it's a good branch with good annual package and it's demand is going to increase in the coming year also it provides lot's of opportunities in field like fertilizer, petroleum, agrotech etc.

NIT Rourkela offers a Summer Internship Programme for students of different institutes in India other than NIT Rourkela. The internship duration is between May 16 to July 15, 2023, and the selection is based on merit, understanding of the topic, and technical pre-requisites. The interns can work on innovative research and development projects under the guidance of NIT Rourkela faculties. The internship is available in various departments, such as Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The interns will not get any fellowship or financial assistance, but they will get free accommodation, laboratory, library, and internet facilities.

Campus placement is offered at NIT Rourkela for all eligible students. The institute has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that organizes and coordinates the placement activities. The institute has a record of excellent placements, with more than 95% of the students getting placed in reputed companies and organizations. The highest package offered in 2022-23 was Rs 52.98 lakh per annum, and the average package was Rs 12.95 lakh per annum12. Some of the top recruiters were Apple, Google, VISA, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, Reliance, etc.

Fee Structure is quite decent and opportunities are also vast in this college,I don't know much about general scholarship but i came to know that students with military or related background gets their hostel fee refunded and some students whose family annual income is less than 1lakh gets 100% fee waiver

NIT Rourkela is fully residential and provides accommodation facility for all students. There are 11 hostels on campus, with 7 boys hostels, 2 girls hostels, and 2 married hostels (only for research scholars). The hostel rooms are either single or double seated, and have amenities such as a common room, an indoor room, a lounge, and a dining hall with mess. The hostel fee ranges from Rs 4000 to Rs 8000 per year, depending on the type of room and hostel. The hostels are well maintained and have 24x7 support for the students. The hostels also have various societies and activities for the students to participate in. First we have to register in their website and follow their instructions for submitting our documents online and after that further instructions for offline registration also gets mentioned there. During physical verification of documents, they will verify all the documents and allocate the hostel.
