Course Curriculum Overview
I was from a Commerce background, and B.Com was a usual option many students chose at Delhi University. Some of the faculty are great but some of the faculty need to be serious about student education. Some faculty are PhD and all of them are master's graduates. The ratio is around 1:80. Term exam happiness twice a year which are end Sem exams and mid sems happens infrequently according to the teacher once a sem.
Placement Experience
Student are eligible for internships from the very first year of their college. For Placements, Students became eligible for placement in their last year of college. There are some great companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EYs, etc and there are more than 100 offers made. There is no certain data about the highest and average package but I think the Highest package was around 15 Lpa and the average is 5 Lpa. Around 60% of students get placed. My plan is to go for an MBA after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite affordable but yeah it has been hiked in quite a few years as compared to earlier. Fees for B.Com is around 15-16K per year. There are many scholarships for EWS, Ph.D., and Extravagant students offered by campus and off campus. I have applied to none. The University of Delhi also offers in-campus internships and scholarships.
Campus Life
Tide is the annual fest of my college conducted in Feb-march. Aksa is a Diwali Mela conducted near Diwali. Arambh is the annual fresher conducted after the arrival of the new batch. Books are available in the Library but in less amount as compared to students. Classrooms are just normal like government schools, projectors are present only in a few, nothing more than that. Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis and some more sports are active in college. In extracurricular activities, there are many clubs and societies.
Admission
There was an entrance exam CUET(Central University Entrance Test) in which you had to apply for the exams of a subject that related to your course and the 12th + General Test(Aptitude Test) for a variety of courses. It is conducted by NTA, on based of these courses you can apply to various universities with some application fee, and after that, we have to apply to Delhi University with CUET scores. Like for the B.Com program combustion of scores was English 3 subject. Cut-off was approximately 740-700/800.
