Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to study mathematics. That's why I chose to pursue my interest in this field only. The faculty and student ratio is good. There are associated professors along with guest lecturers. All the faculties have Ph.D. degrees and they'll teach you really well. Internal exams were before 1 or 2 months of semester exams followed by the university guidelines and the exams are moderately tough.
Internships Opportunities
In college, you can get scholarship programs as well as they offer placement programs after graduation. Besides that, if anyone applies to any internship program, the department will access it. there are some corporate companies who come to the placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it's a government college, the cost is very minimal. For mathematics honors, its cost is around 3000 per semester. Someone can apply for all the government scholarship programs such as SVMCM, INSPIRE, etc. and they give 12000-60000 per annum as a stipend.
Campus Life
There are many tech fest or events of individual departments and one can participate in those events instead of being from some other department. The central library along with our departmental library is very good. It'll help you all the way. Classrooms are with ac, spacious and all classrooms have modern facilities. Sports are quite active in our college. One can also participate in extracurricular activities. The Facebook page of Maulana Azad College will really help.
Hostel Facilities
In the hostel, every room was 4 seated and spacious enough. There's a canteen running in the hostel and the food is decent according to its price. You can get both veg and nonveg there. The registration process for a hostel is also online mode and you'll get the option in the portal only. the seats differ each year.
Admission
The admission process was through online mode and higher secondary marks. One should apply through the college portal and you'll find the option for a new application for B. Sc/B.A/B.Com or pass courses. There are quota reservations along with some facilities for Muslim students. The admission process is quite smooth and the students section is very helpful in this matter.
