BITS Pilani

The course is an attractive option not only for the high placements but also because of various other opportunities available after the completion of the course. The faculty-to-student ratio is fine in my opinion. The teaching methods are pretty standard. But the evaluative system is exhaustive with regular tests and continuous evaluation making sure students stay up to date on whatever is taught.

The college offers several project based courses and opportunity for a summer internship as well. The practice school system is unique to our college and ensures that all the students have experience in the industry before stepping into their respective fields.

The college has a great placement record boasting placements of several crores internationally and upto 50 lacs domenstically. Majority of the students get placed during the placemetn season and all the major companies do visit the college.

The annual fee is 257000. The fees of BITs are quite high but are pretty standard when compared to other private institutions providing the same quality of education. The institution provides a merit-based and a merit cum needs-based scholarship for eligible students.

Oasis organized at BITS Pilani is the second-largest cultural fest in India and is the largest student-organised fest in Asia. Since the campus is completely residential the quality of interactions and bonds formed is greater than in other colleges. BITS Pilani has a huge library with lakhs of books available at the student's disposal. The classrooms are air-conditioned with proper seating arrangements, projectors, blackboards, and sound systems. Bits Pilani has 2 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, a football field, a swimming pool, several table tennis tables, 4 badminton courts, and a cricket ground as well. We also have a student activity center for various activities such as music, dance, snooker pool, roller ball, carrom, gym, etc. The campus has a plethora of clubs, departments, and cultural and academic associations for students to join.

The hostels are good with all the basic facilities provided such as a table, bed, and almirah. tube light and fan. The hostels are double occupancy for the first and second year and then single occupancy from the third year onwards. The hostels have a common room with football tables and Table tennis tables along with a television and a vending machine. The mess is fine with okayish food but the monthly grubs are a treat.

Eligibility: Minimum 75% in class 12th and more than 60% individually in the subjects PCM. Application form is available on the website for BITSAT and each attempt has an application fee of 3400 for males and 2700 for female candidates. The exam centers could have increased frisking and security.
