Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Electrical engineering to get government jobs as this is the best branch of the government sector as well as private. The Faculty-student ratio is quite good, it is 1 teacher to 25 students in my course. The faculties are helpful. Exams are easy to pass.

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The intern would be asked to contribute to the development and management of the Foundation’s marketing, grants management/partnerships, and digital learning platform over a 6-month period. Some projects are assigned to students.

Placement Experience

The 8th-semester students are eligible for placement. I don't want placement by the Institute I am targeting gate and IES EXAM. the placement is quite good the average package is 7 lakh per annum and the median is 5.1 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 70000. The Fee is very low, the estimated total fee will be about 3 lakhs for a full degree with the hostel fee included. Every type of government scholarship is available as it is a government college. Anyone can afford this college.

Campus Life

There are two fests first is the cultural fest known as muduram and then we have the tech fest. The library is well-maintained and has all the required books. There are lots of extracurricular activities. About 4-5 tournaments are conducted in a month. There are lots of clubs on campus too.

Admission

I gave JEE mains to get admission to this Institute. You can get into this college without reservation if you get 94 percentile. You can also get into this college by getting a diploma after the 10th and give LET exam. The admission process is quite simple.

Four Years of Growth , Grit and Glory

Placement Experience:

In Chandigarh University you are being elligible to sit in the placement from the end of the 6th semester . A large no. of companies visit the unversity daily for all type of departments talking about my department , companies like Zopasmart , JTG , EY , JP Morgan , TCS , Cognizant , Deloite and many other companies came for the college comapnies with ann average comapny selected upto 10 -12 students . Till now the highest package offered is 37 LPA for the role of software developer . Talking about the no. of students placed from the total students in the batch i would say less then 30% percent of the total students have been placed from the university campus placements till now . Curently i am also focusing on the campus placements to get a start to know more about the corporate world , If i am unable to get a campus placement the i ll go for offline interviews and spends 4 to 5 years in the field after that i ll start my own buisness .

Placement Experience:

There are many campus placements in my college. Students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester, and major companies start coming during 7th and 8th semesters. Major reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant and Accenture visit the campus every year and offer good number of job to students . The highest package of my college is 3.5 cr. The average package for CSE students ranges between 4 to 6 LPA depending upon the company and students skill. Profile offered include software developer, data analyst.A good percentage of eligible students get placed every year as the university provides proper training, mock interviews,and skill development programs. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good placement through campus recruitment. Later I may also consider for showing higher studies.

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
