All faculty are Ph.D. holders with decent colleges, they all are supportive, seniors are very good, and there's no ragging as ragging is prohibited in this college. There are two minors before the end-semester exam.

Internships Opportunities

Different companies provide different types of internships. Students get internships from government companies like ISRO, and DRDO. Some big companies like Microsoft provide internships to the students of the college.

Placement Experience

The placement of the college is not so good not so bad. The college provides the average package placement. Companies like HCL, Infosys, Mahindra, etc. visit here. The highest package of CS in 2022 is 18 lac. The college provides 100% placement to all students.

Fees and Financial Aid

cost for study is quite decent, less than 4 lac for 4 years of B.Tech degree with well-educated faculty members, and supportive seniors. All kind of national scholarship is applied here you get a tuition fee waiver (TFW).

Campus Life

The campus is green. So many different species of plants you can see here. Some rare birds are also seen here. Blue bulls are quite common here. Madhuram is the socio-cultural fest held in October and the tech fest held in April. For studying there are a lot of books available in the college. The college provides sports kits for students entrusted with sports, there are classes in yoga, music, singing, painting, and dancing. There are different clubs for different purposes you can explore them once you enter college.

Hostel Facilities

You can get a bed Almira and chair and a rac for studying. The mess quality is quite good but it happens only in the initial phase when you get admission after passing 2-3 months the food quality goes down and down. The registration process is very simple you just fill in an undertaken and personal detail and allot a room.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

For B.TECH admission in Sant Longwell Institute of Engineering and Technology, you must quality jee mains. The student gets this college in the JOSSA and CSAB rounds. There is no special reservation benefit.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I also applied for tejpur university and also got admission but I didn't get this college because of there location and infrastructure. Yes I got a rejection from nit college because my rank was not upto for getting this college. As I scored a decent percentile in the jee mains exam.So, I've some chances to get in the lower nits and lower branch but like Nit Rourkela, Manipur etc.But I wants to pursue my career in the computer science so I've to choose that one college where I got CS branch. It is a CFTI having some decent placements score and one of the main point is the fee of the college is some low from the other colleges. Not at all I got the other colleges but not the CS branch that's why I didn't choose that colleges over this.
