Likes

College have a lot of resources for our use. You should have the potential of using them properly.
Sports facilities are really nice. Almost all games are available.
College is really very big. More than 450 acres.

Dislikes

Campus is really big. Its hard to travel from one place to another.
Coding culture of college is okaish type not great.
Placements are not very great. I mean the highest package was 30 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview

I am persuing BE in Computer Science and Engineering. The course curriculum is standard that is similar to almost all reputed colleges in india. Faculty here at SLIET is very good and helpful. Most professors are phd doctors and highly qualified. They follow great teaching methods. 3 Exams are held in each sem. Minor 1, Minor 2 and Major(end sem exam).

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 96000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Intership opportunities are very nice. Students have got really nice interships in the past few years. Many got interships at companies like ISRO as well. I'm in first year, so I'm not too familiar with the roles and stipend offered but good interships are offered.

Placement Experience

Placement in our college is decent. Every year, many companies visit the campus to offer jobs to the students. Most of the students get placed as well. The highest package offered last year was around 30 lpaand average is around 5-7 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is very nomial or I would say very less as compared to other institutions as it is a government college. We can avail different scholarships based on our skills as well. The whole fee for the total of 4 years is a little less than 4 lakhs.

Campus Life

Campus life is pretty decent. We just had the annual cultural fest Madhuram in the month of October. It was a 2 day fest and we enjoyed a lot. The technical fest Techfest is organised in the month of april and is a great technical fest. All sports activities are available in campus. All kind of books are available in our library. Many technical and social clubs are their for the students.

Admission

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) takes admission through JEE Mains. The student has to attempt JEE mains exam and then sit in the jee councilling called JOSAA. Then you can get admission in this college according to your marks in JEE mains.

Placement Experience:

The placements at LPU are decent, the University provides placements to almost every student. The placement cell here is really very active. More than 1000 companies visit LPU during placement drives providing average package of 6-7LPA in CSE field. The highest package recorded was 2.5 crore from robotics and automation and 64 LPA in CSE department. 99% of students at LPU get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to join the corporate and work as a SDE or AI/ML engineer at MNC.

U will get eligible for placement from the 6 sem and the most of the companies are top companys like Google Microsoft phonepay razorpay and etc and the highest record breaking package is 3cr and recentl the highest package was 2.5 cr and the average pacakege is around 10 lakh per annum all of them from this college get 100% placement guarantee and I have plans to do cds afcat after my degree

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding and math were the subject that influenced me to take this course we are introduced to python and c / c ++ which are the major languages used in the society for AI/ML. Teachers should be more friendly and try to undertsand the students's prospective also and not rush the syllabus we have our exams every regular month (STs and evaluations and end terms)

I don't like any curriculum in our college one day they kept mid and sem exams on same day to be frank my 1st completed in just 8 months I joined in Jan in August end it was completed my first year actually it should be completed in 1 year .

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester a student is eligible for the placements, companies like TAFE, CLASS, Mahindra and Mahindra and many others come for campus placements. The average package is of 5-6 lacs and the highest package, according to me was gone for john deere company at the price of 15 lacs per annum. The students have 80-90% chances of getting placements. I personally want to pursue my higher studies and work on my future preneurs.

Good and bad of chandigarh university.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in this college in this college previous year average package was 9 lakhs 50 thousand and highest package was 60 lakhs but in this college number of students are very high so competition also increases.

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. I choose this college honestly as it was a centeral government college under josaa and has significantly less fees which would help me save for my master's . I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
