Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of my interest in this particular field. The faculties have done their PhD from all the prestigious institutes all over the world. The ratio of faculty to students is very good. All the exams, quizzes and assignments are to be submitted in proper time.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Talking about internships in our college, again for chemical and petroleum there are a lot of PSUs and government companies but the work is still on for the tech branches I am sure they will be good because the students here have cracked GSOC and many more on their own and are now doing internship in many big companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship opportunity for needy students. The fee structure is quite similar to the IITs. There are a lot of scholarships available like UP scholarship and many more. The UP government, as well as the college, make the education reach to everyone.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is moderate. I mean the campus is located in a remote place so the social life is not that happening but one can surely enjoy the life inside the campus with all the facilities available like library, field and everything.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are at par with all other premium institutions in India. The hostel rooms are well equipped with two study tables ( one for each ), one fan two almirahs and two beds. The meal quality in the mess is also very good, they provide you with many nutrients rich food along with the daily menu.

Admission

My college takes admission through one of the most prestigious exams in India, JEE Advanced and JEE Main. The priority is given to advance and if seats remain vacant then those seats are filled through the main. The application form can easily be submitted through its website. The counselling takes place after the results of advanced are declared after applying for the counselling by paying some minimal amounts one can be admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology if he or she is shortlisted after the results are declared. There are reservations also like all other IITs. One needs to physically verify all the documents to avail of the benefits of reservation. The admission process is very smooth and without many difficulties, one can easily get admission to this college. They just need to be ready with the proper documents like results, mark sheets, photographs etcetera. I don't think that any changes are needed to be made in the process as it is very smooth.

The placements of GCET are considered average to above average for a private college. The average usually looms around 5LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was 39 LPA by Autodesk. Around 70-80 percent students are placed every year.
