Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was updated and the faculties were keen on new emerging technologies Qualification of Facilities Mtech or PhD, the teachers were very helpful & very active, 2 months and term exam ( insem ) Starts.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Doordarshan we went for training during the month of January 2019 in Guwahati city there we got to know different people who soever coming to do the training. I received a stipend of Rs 9000 and thereby It was my first income.

Placement Experience

7th Semester they are eligible for campus placement, the company visited Capgemini, cognizant, ADP, byjus, and 45% get placement, to pursue higher education or to get a stable job in the current inflation journey.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes at the beginning the fees were less but gradually they Increased it. Financial Assistance Ishan Udhoy Scholarship This scholarship literally helps those who belong to poor families and helps them in fulfilling their needs.

Campus Life

Auxesis is the Annual fest. There were many books present in the library as the central library was very big in size. The sports authority was also good going, now I guess there are many clubs included like coding clubs, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms were very clean & tidy the food was also good as compared to outside it was way cheaper, for registration of hostel you need to fill the hostel form as per the availability they will provide the best suitable hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 2900 per year

Admission

You have to just go to the website and apply for the same or there is on-the-spot registration. Application fees are nil. If OBC gets the reservation the cut-off will be lesser than the general. People, however, the admission process was very smooth In one go.

Interview Experience

First of all, you need to apply from the official website, then after some days, they will set a generalized cutoff after the cut-off is released they call for counseling after counseling if you are selected they do further communication.

Overall good university which offers good internships and placement.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

MY EXPERIENCE AS A FRESHER AT IITG

Placement Experience:

1. From the 6th semester students become eleigible for campus placements. 2. Big companies like McKinsey, Google, microsoft, adobe, amazon, flipkart, meesho, bcg, bain, tcs, have visited our campus this year and the offers made were around 164 during a span of 59 days. 3. Highest package was 2cr for an international offer 4. 50% 5. I wanna get a job, a high paying one.

Delightful Discovery

Placement Experience:

From the semester 6/7 the students are eligible for the placements before that its offers internships . The companies are google, Microsoft, tata and many more other companies visits and no of offers made to te student who's having good cgpa but I've complain like the person having less cgpa why don't they seat in companies interview, its unfair. I've i would be the one among them i would go tobthe skills of the student not comparing on the basis of their academic or cgpa . Although I'm in 2nd sem let's see what happens further.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good in my college. Around 200 companies visisted and 600 offers was made in 2024. Recruiters was amazon, microsoft, goldman sachs, infosis,google and many more. The highest pakage was 80 lpa in CSE and median was 24 lpa.

I appeared in IIT JAM exam but i could not make a good result from it to take admission into IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT BHU and others. So, I have to remain in this University. Not really, but I could not make it happpen to get into my required field of interest.
