REALITY OF IIIT DHARWAD!

I saw a good future growth in becoming a computer science engineer. Here course is designed very nicely. Our college has full authority to change the course as per requirement. The teacher student ratio is really very bad over hear,the faculty here are not enough. Most of the teachers are from Karnataka state only. The teachers are well qualified but they are very less. And then also the teacher who know how to teach are 5%. Here getting marks in exam is also very difficult, the teacher here gives 0 or 5 marks per question.

Here the career guidance cell does not work properly and the student have to work on their own and they apply outside the campus for internship. But the people of a hair are so much talented that they are getting internship abroad also as a seniors got internship in Canada also. Some companies like Oracle and many more are coming for providing internship but the number is very less. The CGC need to be improve

The placement status of this college is also not good. As the average package of this college is 11 lakh per annum. The fees there is 16 lakh for the whole course , and we are not even close to the roi, as according to me it should be more than 15. The career guidance cell is also not working upon it they are just letting it go with the flow they are not doing anything.

The fees is also very high. The semester fees is 197000. The tution fee is 152000 per semester. And the hostel fee is 25000 and the mess charges here is 20000. Here student can apply for NSP, state scholarship or any private scholarship.

The college is full of greenery. Here we have a lake in the campus. We have to hostel building one is for boys and one is for girl, boys hostel is totally full, in one room there are four occupants. The room is big but there are four people so it is so much congested. The ratio of boys and girl surveillance. In my class there are 70 students in which 8 are only girls. Here we have opportunities to learn via clubs. The infrastructure here looks good in photos only but in real life the ceiling of the building drains rainwater, the bathroom is very dirty and the staff is not maintaining. Here we don't have AC in classrooms but there are separate AC for every cabin of faculties.

Hostel is good, the rooms are big but there are four students in a room, so it feel so congested. While raining the ceiling of the building starts draining water. The hygiene of the bathroom here is also not good. We all have to live in hostel only we are not allowed to live outside the campus. The quality of food is good but the taste of food in the mess is very bad over here.

Indian institute of information technology Dharwad is a government college which is based on PPP model. In this college students get addmission through jee mains rank. As my rank was 4709 (catogary rank-SC)in jee mains 2022, i filled the form of josaa 2022 and i got allotted in 1st round of josaa.And i got allotted in computer science and engineering branch of IIIT Dharwad. I think our classes started late due to that my semester was of 3 months only (1st &2nd). Because of this when we came here after 20 days our quizzes startes and we were not even got out of the home sickness, because of that i can't study and after the quiz trauma we had to give the mid sem. examination also. Our semester started on 5th January 2023, and 11th April was the last exam of 1st sem. So, my 1st semester was so short. And also the 2nd semester was of 3 month, it ended on 28th july. Other colleges started their 1st semester in November 2022, but we started 2 months later.
