Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose BTech CSE because it has many job opportunities in future. Engineering, is the most demanding domain in future and has decent jobs secured. The faculty-student ratio in KIIT would be near around 1:11 . The faculties are helpful. There you have a tutor mentor who will look for all your needs, be it studies or anything in college. The faculties mostly are PhD. It has continuous evaluations for the internal marks. The mid-term approximately 30 per cent weightage and the end-term exam has near around 40 to 50 percentage of weightage varying from subject to subject. The level of the exams is easy to moderate though sometimes though to surprise the students in between.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies like Microsoft, and Infosys come to visit the campus for placements. You will get internships in the third year if good under companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Flipkart with a stipend of around 20k per month. My elder brother has got an internship in VMware and is searching for 18.5k. Projects like developing the back end of sites.

Placement Experience

4

Students start getting internships in the third year only. There are internship programs for students from the first sem only which give them hands-on experience for the internships. The college has exponentially increased in popularity. Mostly all the students get placed in some company or the other, though some are placed in mass recruiters. The students get placed in the fourth year. The highest placement has gone 62 lpa in this year the average placement is around 9 lakhs. Around 300 companies sites including Amazon, Google, Flipkart, etc made 3800 offers. I plan to get placed in famous companies like Google and have the highest package from my college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of KIIT is no doubt similar to any private college but it's more worth it in comparison to others. The tution fee is 192k per semester the hostel fee varies from 28k to 60k and 70k for the premium ones. The mess fee is 22.5k. There is the scholarship or say internal reward of 10k per month for the KIITEE Exam rankers 1 to 1000. There is a tution fee waiver for the students who have a ratio card BPL. You start getting internships in 3rd year.

Campus Life

4.5

KIIT is well known for its campus life. You have frequent fests. Something or the other will be organised continuously. You have every sort of club but mostly they are paid. KIIT also organises hackathons and tech fests. First-year students have limited access to all these. Sports also scope you have basketball, football and boxing, badminton. just have your sports items go and play. it also has its cricket stadium. KIIT has K-innovation for the student's research. The central library seems like heaven. The seventh floor Library has every book you could think

Admission

KIIT takes admission by two ways: 1. Through KIITEE Exam 2. Through JEE mains score. The application form is free of cost and anyone who has scored an aggregate of more than 60 percent can apply. The form is released on site kiit.ac.in I got admission in CSE through both. But I paid the fee in jee mains. Anyone above 90 percentile will have high chances of getting a CSE seat and the people above 78 or 80 can get admission into CSE specialisation. Everything is fine once you enter the college.

Other Applied Colleges

SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

The college has too many admissions from the management quota. In the name of placement they fake things. Whereas KIIT is much more transparent.

The course is relevant enough to teach you all the basics you would require in engineering though some of the courses can be changed and in place of those new courses can be addded for example for non physics student teaching them quantum mechanincs and that too the old quantum mechanics doesent seem to make sense . The exams are not so frequent and the papers can be rated as moderate

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
