Course Curriculum Overview
In IEM all the facilities are hardworking and caring for the students. There are at least 4-5 faculty for each subject and all of them are experts in their fields. The faculty are knowledgeable and helpful. The college conducts 2 mid-semester exams which prepare the students for the final exams and help build the concepts. There are also lab exams in the curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies visit this college to provide internship opportunities to the students. Also, the students get multiple training sessions for how to develop industry-relevant skills. Students get the internship based on their skills and experience.
Placement Experience
Students can sit for Placements as soon as they enter the final year of study. Multiple companies visit this college such as TCS, COGNIZANT, ACCENTURE, VODAFONE, DELLOITE, WIPRO, ORACLE, IBM and many more. The college has been performing at the top of the charts in terms of placements from past so many years. The placement results are always in the favour of the students. Almost 90-95% of students get placed and many students opt for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of this college are more than the average fees of any other private Institute in West Bengal. Although there are necessary financial help and assistance available for the needy and scholarships based on need. Various companies visit the campus for internship and placement opportunities: kudos to the Placement Cell of the college. The placement cell makes sure that each student gets what they deserve the best.
Campus Life
The campus life seems boring but is not. In this college, multiple fests are organised such as our very famous tech fest INNOVACION which happens in March and April and students from all over the state come to take part in it. The college also organises a cultural fest which is IEMPACT and it is full of joy and fun. The library here has a plethora of books and any material the student wants will be made available for them. The college supports extracurricular activities and the participation of students in events and programs in various domains of their choice. This college has some of the finest clubs and Student chapters such as Google Developer Student Club and IIC lab.
Admission
Admission to IEM KOLKATA is based on merit. Entrance is through WBJEE, JEE MAINS and IEM JEE examinations. The admission process is as per MAKAUT and AICTE based on the counselling process.
