Likes

Students will me more free to do anything also by maintaining discipline
Yugam is one of the great cultural event in TAMIL NADU that happens in this college.
Faculties are more helpful and the courses are well structured.

Dislikes

Placements can be still improved for Aeronautical Department
Fees is quite high and can be reduced in future.
Few Departments classes are quite ugly and can be maintained in future.

Course Curriculum Overview

Studying Aeronautical enables individual to design, develope and maintain aircraft and spacecraft, and contribute in advancement in Aviation and Space Technology. The infrastructure and faculty for this course is well designed when compared to other colleges.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

In our College, there is a department called KCIRI where projects from the central Government such as DRDO are taken and completed by our own college students. Our college also has a company called Forge where almost 3000 to 5000 employees are working.

Placement Experience

For my course, there are very less placement opportunities. But other departments such as CSE, IT, ECE, and EEE are getting plenty of placement opportunities with high salary packages. While compared to MIT college, the placements are well and good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite high when compared to other colleges but education is provided equal to that of the fees. There are many scholarships available in this college. Apart from studies they are also giving importance to extracurricular activities and technical skills.

Campus Life

There is one library called Mahatma Gandhi Library where is one of the most famous libraries in Tamil Nadu. There will be at least 15 to 20 events in a month for both technical and extra-curricular activities.

Admission

I came through Government Quota by applying TNEA. Atleast 160 cutoff is required to get admission in this college particularly this couse. For other couses it differs. For example 195 cutoff is required for CSE department.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

I chose this college because the first reason is it was near to my home. The travel distance was less. And the placements offered by this college was awesome.
