Likes
- If interested they are many clubs, forums and extra curricular activities that could be explored and to gain practical knowledge
- Many many seminars are conducted on various diverse topics
- The greenery and space provides a sense of peace in a way
Dislikes
- The benches were hard to sit on but they're renovating now.. the benches used to give me back pain
- Not very depth notes are given which seemed hard to cope up and study with so many new topics at hand
- Some processes were way too complicated to deal with
Course Curriculum Overview
My course was very interesting it had alot of depths that needed to be explored and many more amusing processes that needed to be known and thought but i felt like the working part of it or the practicality of that was not explored much during the classes.. we were thought the formulas and the theory but it never went to the depth of teaching us how musing the particular process was or why that process was crucial and how it was brought into light etc etc.. the math part of it was taught well and some practice was given but i felt it would've been more interestibg if they had brought in the practicality of it.. if they had made sometime for that well
Internships Opportunities
the internship opportunities towards the end were great, most were given along with a reasonable stipend as well. but attending interships during the 2nd or 3rd year was hard as less companies came in the and also due to the courses we used to not get permission for longer internships.
Placement Experience
There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly, we had to pay between 145000 to 165000, depending on the number of subjects/credits in that particular year. Apart from the course fee there was a placement training fee of 15000 every year that needed to be paid. Incase of opting for transport it used to vary but i used to pay around 18000. at the end of every smester for the ESE exams we need to pay exam fee for each subject 300 for theory only subjects and 500 for embedded subjects. The hostel fee used to be aroung 75000-100000 according to my classmates. Students could enter through foundations and scholarships and if they maintained a good merit they'd also be awarded 10000 as prize each year
Campus Life
the clubs were great.. we had educational exposure, creative exposure, donor exposure, helping exposure, NCC, sports etc etc.. our college even won a few international and national medals through these clubs. The campus was huge many places to hangout and explore but considering the number of students the canteen space was less.. it was an animal and nature friendly campus.. we had various herbal plants around the campus. Initially there were outdoor seating tables so that helped during luch hours but they've removed those for some reason. Every year YUGAM was celebrated a 3 day fest conducting many workshops, fun dance areas many food and shopping stalls. The library was also big but few books weren't up to date but there was enough space and wifi provision the library to work in peace it was open even during the weekends
Admission
I've good stuff about the college it was well recommended by some of our family friends and it was closer to home comapred to other colleges i had applied to. i had gotten an addmission in the other college as well but i chose this college.. the college is fine. For admission, once we cleared their required cutoff, they asked to come with all our documents help them fill in the details and pay the required fee
Faculty
The faculty members are mostly friendly and try to help out in studies or making required connections for jobs or interships, but the teaching methods weren't so great but that wasn't their mistake as the requirement and methods of teaching were constantly asked to change causing even them to have lesser time to prepare
Night Life
I didn't spend much time in the college during nights since i was not an hostelite but i stayed late few times for project purposes or fest practices.. with the huge amount of greenery the breeze used to be great and it was a peaceful feeling. and evenings after college time sports can be played so many students join together for various sports and play for hours
