Remarks

From my point of view ,college is extremely awesome, no one parallel to this institution . Superb level of education . Top class professors and facilities . Mess food is also proper each hostel contains a canteen as well for better and food of own choice . Campus e shoppe is available here it is like a mini shopping complex it is really great . So my overall experience is good for everything

I qualified JEE mains to get nit . As it is very popular college and is after iits so its my pleasure to get admission here. None interview process followed.i choose engg because it was my passion

Course Curriculum Overview

Very lengthy syllabus we have but i enjoy ut really well . Practicals are the only reason to make this lengthy syllabus funny and easy to understand. Research inititaives has been taken on various topics like , pavement designs , waste water treatment , power consumption, watwr supply system ,communication cables and optical fibres etc .

Internships Opportunities

College do provides us internship as training is necessary and i think every college do provide it during 3rd year holidays . We do it from our college itself with various site visits and mostly we get to a topic of interest and join a professor involved in research in that field and with him we work upon that subject for the whole vacation . Experince is great we learn a lot in these plans .avg stipened amount is about 9000 to 10000

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is awesome and is almost as iits . About 85%-90% students gets placed in various national and multinational companies. Major companies visited are, ntpc,ongc, reliance power,wipro, infosys etc . With avg package offered is about 6-7lpa

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is quite normal but is quite low as per the education standard and facilities . It is about 80,000 per year but it is good and atleast affordable for me . Few students needs loans for it as well which they can get via various banks available in our campus

Every single professor is highly qualified and very experienced and most of them are phd passed . They had researched on something and did something new. So they do have a vast experience and do have high level of understanding. They are very interactive and always ready to explore .standard of teaching is very high .

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
