Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relatively easy. I always had a keen interest in Architecture-related stuff so maybe that is is reason why I enjoy the course. The faculty: student ratio is good it being with about 1 faculty member for every 20 students.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided to the students from the 3rd year of college. Big IT companies like Google to huge oil companies like ONGC all come for hiring. Consultancy companies like Pwc and product management roles are quite the trend.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is decent but very poor compared to other IITs. A student is eligible to sit for campus placements from the final year of the degree. The percentage of students getting a place is around 80%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fee structure is affordable for all classes of people but the only grievance I have is that the scholarships and financial assistance are only provided to students whose family income is less than 500000 and to girls only.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is not so good I feel. The annual fests and tech fest are not up to the mark. The library is the best place in the campus. The classrooms have not seen the face of development at all. Clubs are also very disorganised and have very little financial backing from the college authorities.
Admission
The admission process was through the rigorous process of writing 2 PCM based papers JEE Mains which upon qualifying you are eligible to write JEE Advanced. Both papers are considered the hardest entrance-based examinations in all of India
