There is a excellent studying environment.
The Library is very much helpful for academic studies as well as competitive exams.
The campus has a vast greenery and it is so much eco friendly.

The communication system is not so good .

Course Curriculum Overview

I was eager to study agriculture. As our agriculture has a lot of sustainable culture and history. The faculty-student ratio is almost 1:3. All professors are Ph.D. They are experts. Term exams are taking a lot of time. They are very tough and a lot of pressure is there.

Class Size: 160Course Fees: INR 10300 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee is 22 thousand rupees and the per semester fee is 10300 rupees. And if you opt for a hostel you have to pay monthly hostel charges that are around 2 thousand per month. I got the SVMCM state scholarship and GP Birla foundation scholarship which are 18 thousand and 50000 per annum respectively.

Campus Life

The annual fest's name is Nabarun and Naihrit. They are conducted in December. Our Central Library is the largest Library in agriculture in East India. The classroom has smart boards and normal boards, and they are air-conditioned. Every year a sports competition is there.

Hostel Facilities

Each room is for three students and a bed, table, chair, and rack are there for each student. The meal provided is extremely good. I can't understand that I am in a hostel, not at home. Registration for a hostel is done during the admission process.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

The eligibility of the course is that you must have passed 12th from any board in the science stream with physics, chemistry, biology, and English. You can also apply car area entrance examination to enter this course. The application form is available on the University's official website. Reservation benefits are as per state law of reservation. I think the offline counseling should be stopped. And totally shift it to the online process.

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
