Dislikes

It would be better if atleast more than half of the batch got placement
There is absence of infrastructure in laboratories
And which I hate the most is to give those huge no of exams 😂

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually, I want to pursue an MBBS degree but I failed to crack neet that's why I'm here today. The faculty-student ratio is good enough, it is not a big issue. Faculties are highly educated and helpful. If you enter in bckv you will be habituated with exams, per semester 10/11 subject and practical exam, viva, midterm, and end term of those subjects but it is not hard to pass.

Class Size: 132Course Fees: INR 13550 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

You will get a swami vivekananda scholarship or a Nabanna scholarship which is provided by the West Bengal government if you have the required cgpa in your semester. But there is a limited campus job offered. Out of 130 students, 10 students will be placed in one batch.

Campus Life

Yes, campus life and social life is better here.. seniors arrange freshers which is 'Nabarun' for the first-year student, the annual program 'Naihrit' is also arranged in the winter season and for the farewell program there is 'Nisworgo'. And campus is filled with greeneries ???? Gym, sports also available for students And our library is the 3rd largest agricultural library... every book related agriculture, you'll find here

Admission

If someone wants to pursue a degree in agriculture horticulture or agricultural engineering then Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is the best college in West Bengal and its ranking is 16 in the country. you should have 50% marks in hs for unreserved students and 45% for the reserved category. for an application form, application fees, and application dates you must check regularly the official website of bckv, bckv.edu.in

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
