Classroom are awesome,Library includes all books and give us free wifi also,Laboratory has large no of equipments ,a huge number of microscope for research,,Overall campus greenary ambience,Hostel foods are also very well ,

Dislikes

Gym should have more number of equipments. Roads in front of students hostel should be improved, Students should be given canteen subsidy, should should be given more time to self study as we have to do classes from 7 am to 5 pm

Scope of engineering and Hons in general subjects like Bengali English History Physics...these are declining day by day. BSc in agriculture provide us a huge opportunity to get into various fields & ensure job

There are total 8 semester.per semester fees is ?6775 There is no extra charge in hostel For food in hostel per month average fees is about ?2100 that varies depending upon price inflation of vegetables rice etc SVMCMS scholarship facility available asa well as other Private scholarship

Campus Life

There occur a grand celebration called "Freshers" to welcome 1st year students in November to December. Social fest is also held. BCKV has a tremendous large library including all the books and articles on agriculture Classroom has smart board ,well furnished and having all facilities. 12 th with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology Cut off varies year to year ...for general candidate above 95% is needed An entrance exam is there conducted by ICAR - AIEEE BCKV website to all applications procedure ( bckv.edu.in) SC ST OBC A & OBC B ( seat varies year to year, refer to website) No there is no need of any improvement

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
