KIIT- A fun college experience

I chose to do CSCE because I felt that it includes computer science as well as communication. The average package was also good. The faculty members are quite good. You also get to choose your section and faculty members from 2nd Year onwards. The midterms are easy if you start studying a week before. You will easily pass the midterms just by reading the PDFs and solving a few PYQs. Endsems on the other hand require a lot more focus than midsems since the syllabus is vast and the questions are moderately difficult. I would like to suggest practicing maths regularly and keeping a good score on your practical and lab exams. Paying attention in class is also a great way to easily achieve an 8 or above cgpa.

Multiple MNCs visit KIIT and mass recruit. Some students are offered an internship at HRC and if they accept the PPO offer then their package can go as up to 10 LPA. Recently 2 of my seniors were also recruited in KPMG, which is one of the big fours. Other seniors were also offered jobs from Bayne and Delloite.

The tuition fee is 175000 per semester. It includes your books. The rank holders of the KIITEE exam get the benefit of a scholarship and also get 10,000 per month for achieving that rank. The semester topper from each branch also gets 10000 per month and second and third position holders get an amount of 5000 and 3000 respectively.

The KIIT fest is one of the most exciting events of the college. The college also conducts a great cultural fest where the students get to enjoy performances, DJs, concerts, and of course yummy treats. KIIT has multiple sports facilities, they have more than 3 basketball courts, multiple tennis and badminton courts, and also a large number of playgrounds. There are also 6 gyms(along with swimming pools) on the campus although girls have access to only one gym and one swimming pool. KIIT has a large number of societies that come under KSAC that as the Kalinga Student Activity Centre. We have a dance and music society, Korus, a robotics society named KRS, an anchoring society Kronicle, and various others that complete almost everything from fashion to writing.

The facilities provided by the hostel are okay if you have opted for the premium room. Apart from that, I feel that we could have been provided more facilities like the access to order food 24/7. Normal hostels have washing machines and water coolers and they have provided us with enough washrooms such that we never have to wait to use one. The food provided is great. The taste is okay and mildly spicy. We have a group of mess representatives of which I am a part of and feel that it's a good way to put forth the needs and wants of the hostelites.

The admission process is quite simple. KIIT conducts an exam KIITEE. The time given for the exam is 3 hours and it consists of 3 sections. Physics chemistry and Maths. The difficulty of the questions is moderate to difficult. You can also apply to Kiit through your Jee Rank.
