Lack of coordination btw the classes and practicals
Practical facilities are not upto the mark

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because of its versatility and career options. 3 faculties are present with a ratio of 3:200. Teacher Student interaction in a smart classroom with proper guidance. Within 5 months interval term exams are conducted. You have to study hard to qualify.

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 13550 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year after year admission fees is increasing so also the semester fees. It would cost 90k to 100k during the 4 years course excluding the mess bill for eating which is separate. Scholarship only after the ICAR JRF entrance exam. If there is a financial issue then the mess bill may be less. Placement started after the COVID pandemic in 2023. The package is 5.5 to 6 LPA.

Campus Life

Naihrit is our annual fest which happens once a year along with Nabarun which is our Freshers programme. Our library is one of the best if you want to explore it fully. We have a fully air-conditioned smart classroom. Scope of Gym, playground, tennis, volleyball court, football ground etc.

Admission

Eligibility of course is 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Information about the application form, application fees, and application dates are visible On the BCKV website. Details of Reservation Benefits No idea, Any improvement you want to see in the admission process is it Should reduce Admission fees.

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
