KIIT- A dream liner for engineers

Faculties of this institute are almost all professors. They are well-trained and well-mannered in teaching. Term exams are monthly observed. Teaching is so good here that no difficulty is faced to pass the exams.

Many IT companies and other companies come to offer internships timely to this college. But I am not aware of these well because I was not interested in them. But the projects brought by our faculties and management are very enjoyable and knowledge-acquiring events in this college.

About 70 per cent of students as on average get placement every year from campus. Now I am working as a freelancer and pursuing a hardware course for some concrete fundamentals about the hardware of computers.

No such fee hikes are seen in between the course period. One has to pay the same fees for the entire course period as per decided during addmission. But it changes batch by batch. Too many scholarships are available depending on students' performance. I had got a job in Tech Mahindra from the campus but I could not join because of some physical issues I did have at that time.

Sports and extracurricular activities are awesome in this college. A vast playground with separate clubs for separate sports and also separate mentor coaches with a modern gymnasium is available here. A cultural club decorated with all instruments is standing for the amusement of students. As an engineering college to advance in IT, the students run many digital social groups designed by themselves besides global websites like FB, WhatsApp etc.

Hostel rooms are neatly clean. Each room has accomodation for 3 students containing 3 beds and 3 almirahs. 24 hours electricity is available. Well ventilated rooms are there. Meals of these hostels are far better than others. They are very hygenic and yummy. Basically I like the nonveg dishes prepared here. Everyday the meals are ready on time. Hostel registration is already done during admission and yearly fees are paid during the readmission. 1500 rupees per month is quite reasonable in such esteemed and well maintained atmosphere. Although some local rented room and PGs are available near the college campus. I will recommend the hostel abundance.

To get admitted into this college, one has to acquire a minimum 50 per cent mark in the 12th examination. And then he/ she has to apply for OJEE a joint or common entrance exam conducted by the odisha govt. for all the engineering colleges in odisha. In the exam, he/ she must also acquire a well-ranked position. I had acquired the 129th rank. OJEEE application form is available on its own website. Reservations for addmission are available as per govt norms. It is quite a transparent and student-friendly futuristic process.
