Ground and gym facilities and travel facilities are to be upgraded as it is located in a remote place from town. Mess food can be better, but with the menu and the price one cannot push much farther.

i took cucet all India central university combined entrance test which is a common entrance test to get into all the new central universities. Located in a semi urban area by the side of the water river which is a tributary of Calvary river, it has got lots of greenery and very accessible to thiruvarur railway station which is 7 kms from here. I choose it since it is a central university and near to my home. I had done my masters in English and Education and hence was aiming for a Ph.D in the concerned subject. interview was face to face with three experts and one administrator to verify the document.

Course work is for 1 yr with stipend of 8000/month for 3 yrs.one has to fulfill a minimum of four courses for 2 sems.having specific area broadfield and research methodology. it may differ according to depts.

The university offers various internships through bridge and student transfer programmes. with iser, Madras school of Economis. and all central universities and iits. a handful of students were fortunate enough to pursue summer programmes and intern ship at prestigious institutes in Edinburgh, Germany, U.K and at Queens University they gave internship of 8000 to 10000 rs.

All those who did masters programme are well placed in various teaching and non teaching posts. Some are pursuing their Ph.D at eflu, HCU , Jnu etc. the first batch of integrated students are yet to be out.

We have cutn fest and culturtal and drama fest for which participants from various colleges in and around tamil nadu participate. The cultral fest is marked by a community intervention programme where in we put up stalls of handicrafts food courts and fairs outsiders can join in this fair and be a part of these cultures.

The fee is nominal compared to other colleges as its centrally funded initially one has to pay around 15-17000 at the time of admisssion which includes hostel caution deposit and all other funds followed by 7000 rs each semester.

ugc, dst, inspire non net are all given by the concerned authorities as per the norms. tamil department avails special scholarships for their M.A students from the government as its funded by institute of classical languages.

Campus life is the place of budding friendships and relationships with one another. We have students from every nuke and corner along the length and breadth of the country. Celebrate all or see all these festivals as part of our cutting culture and has great tolerance for each others religion and respect them. Students from all strata of the society study here. There is no political orientation as such, but have a general body formed in the parliamentary system.

The hotel accommodations are 4 stars with reasonably good infrastructure compared to other colleges. The design and infrastructure are on par with western standards. 750 students are accommodated in four hostels, including married and non married research

We are connected to our aluminums through departmental Facebook or chat accounts as each one has got its own community. Our seniors are helpful in placements and other allied cooperations

We have a schedule which is heavy, but not hectic as for sciences they got labs at the afternoon hours. We organize excursions and tours and field trips each year to chill out ourselves
