Tamil University Admission 2025
Tamil University admissions are based on the score in the last qualifying examination. For B.Ed. Admission, Candidates will need to pass 10+2 with 45% marks for the general category and 40% for the SC/ST category. For PG Admission (M.Ed, MA, M.Sc., MLIS), Candidates will need to pass graduation with 50% & from a recognised university. To apply for the Diploma & PG Diploma courses, pass 10th/12th/graduation/post-graduation, based on the course requirements. For PhD/M. Phil, Minimum qualification for admission into these programs is completing a Master’s program in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks. Reserved category students are selected on the quota basis set by the Government.
For admission to Tamil University, application forms can be submitted online or offline via the official website. The fee for Diploma, M.Phil is INR 300, and for Ph.D., it is INR 500 (INR 150/250 for SC/ST).

Tamil University Scholarships 2025
Tamil University provides scholarship and financial support opportunities to students, including BC, MBC, SC, and ST students. Our research shows that there are scholarships for foreign students conducting in-depth research about Tamil literature. Outside of low tuition, there are opportunities for merit-based springboard scholarships.
Also, there are scholarships for students from the State government of Telangana, but no loan facilities are available on campus. Tamil University Campus
Tamil University Campus is an 800-acre fully residential green campus. Tamil University has been established as an institution of high-level learning and research. The University encourages research and teaching activities in Tamil studies, language, literature and culture, and various areas of humanities and social sciences.
Library: The Tamil University library contains more than 1,78,960 books, 345 National and International journals, Magazines and monographs. It caters to the needs of the students, research community and the public all over the world. The library also has a special collection of rare books of different reputed Tamil scholars from around the world. As an ever-growing unit for knowledge and information, the library concentrates not only on purchasing new books but also on collecting and preserving old and rare books for its shelves. The library is kept open for students, research scholars, academics, and people around the world.
Classrooms and Seminar Halls: Classrooms and seminar halls of Tamil University are mainly for academic purposes. Other collaborating institutions may also use the facility for academic purposes after due permission from the Vice Chancellor. The Auditorium Karikalan Arangam with a seating capacity of 1000 persons.
Sports Facility/Computers: The sports facility in the Tamil University is meant for the use of the students and staff members. And the Computer and Wifi facilities are for the use of students and staff members for research activities.

Tamil University Hostel
Tamil University is equipped with separate hostels for boys and girls, which have the sole purpose of providing a safe, secure facility for students with 24-hour security. The university boasts two hostels for boys and two hostels for girls, all of which are well-furnished with sufficient bedrooms that also boast the latest features, such as rooms that have study tables and chairs and almirahs. There is a range of healthy food options available to students daily from their separately housed mess facilities. Importantly, the supporting infrastructure is conducive to study, and wardens are readily available to assist them. Students are even able to join Yoga classes, which adds to the healthy environment.

Total fee for full B.Ed program: Approximately INR 36,000 for both years combined. The application fee is INR 300.
The deadline for submission of the application form for PG courses was 15 October 2023 and the closing date of B.Ed./M.Ed was 31 July 2023.
