Remarks
The college has its ups and downs, in general good college to study, but infrastructure is the only problem. The labs for the mechanical curriculum are out dated and less often give good results when we conduct experiments
Entrance Preview
I entered RV through CET. I'm studying mechanical final year currently, except CET there are no other exams or interviews required. I like mechanical and aspire to be a great aerospace engineer in the future.
Course Curriculum Overview
CSE is best in our college in entire Karnataka. Our college spends lot of resources for research initiatives. Many elective option are also available.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunity is not sufficient, but there are companies that visit the campus in the pre final year offering internship. The companies that visit for internship are good, to name a few, boeing GE Coca cola etc..
Placement Experience
Placements are good in the college, when compared to other colleges in the state level, all students in the main branches, like EC CS or Mech, get sufficient opportunity to get placed. In my branch the placement is above 80% every year, the 20% includes people who it out of placements, hence it's almost like full placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is not too high not too low, college fees is decent but other fees like parking, exams or fine are exorbitant. The food is a bit overpriced for the quality which we get, in the food court.
Faculty
The faculty has a great mix of high experience to novice lecturers. In general the lecturers are knowledgeable, though very few professors are not at all bothered about coursework. The professor's are very friendly and easily approachable. One can go and talk to any professor just as a friend. Some professors are really doing best in their field and have lot of researches under their name. There are lot of on going projects, which professors are always willing to assign to students. They are good number of PhD holders in my department.
