- Hostel food need to be more better. It is good now but need to be more tasty.
- Playground of GKCIET need to be neat and clean in Rainy season as there drain system is not so good.

Course Curriculum Overview
I am in the Mechanical Engineering branch. I choose B. Tech Mechanical Engineering branch because I love Machine first of all. After that, this is a core branch. In every Government sector and private sector every year there are huge vacancies. So employment chances are high. In this college, there are many facilities in every department. The ratio of faculty students is 1:9. Most of all are From IITs and NITs and Jadavpur University Ph. D. So.
Internships Opportunities
There is an Internship opportunity in our own college for the AI ML Lab. Most of the 3rd year students go to IOCL, NTPC, RAIL, GAIL, and WBPDCL for internships. This year I did my Summer Internship at IIT MADRAS on MicroFluidics on Water absorb rate through Porous channel. Professors also have many sources for Internships. Overall students get help from every professor.
Placement Experience
GKCIET has a TPO (Training and Placement Office) cell. They call different types of companies. Companies also recruit B.Tech students according to their knowledge. This year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering batch got 100% placement. In other departments, students also got placed in different sectors. Minimum salary- 2.5 LPA. Average - 3.5 LPA. Highest salary- 5 LPA. Overall, most of the students get placed very well. I also want to get placed in any good company. Also, they want to take a Government exam preparation. Many students prepared for that.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is Centrally Funded Technical Institute. However the affiliation with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. So the fees for the semester are according to MAKAUT, WB. It is not as high as Central colleges. Here one can get any type of scholarship but any one of them. The scholarships are SVMCM, National Scholarship, Oasis, SC/ST Scholarship, etc. Overall one can get up to 60K scholarships per year.
Campus Life
Every Engineering Student enjoys their campus life. Here in the GKCIET we also enjoy it fully. The seniors and juniors are very good. Seniors don't take any ragging. They enjoy each other company. They are very helpful. There are many clubs- Dance club, Drama club, Space club, Gym, Rangoli, Badminton playground, Football ground, cricket ground. In GKCIET, every year it conducts Grand Fest in the time of June and July month.
Hostel Facilities
We have two Hostels. Subhas Chandra Bose Hall (Boys’ hostel) and Swami Vivekananda Hall (Girls’ hostel). The hostels are very neat and clean. Every day workers clean the bathroom and floors. The rooms are also good and big in size. The foods that we get are good quality and it will be better someday.
Admission
The admission process was so good. The eligibility criteria are 12 passed candidates with JEE MAINS or WBJEE qualified. The good rankers students got chances in this college. On the Ghani Khan Chowdhury Institute of Engineering and Technology website all the Notices regarding admission fees application process and important dates. There is a reservation quota according to Government rules. SC, ST, and OBC quotas are there.
