Likes

College campus is very good and very easy way to reach via metro or local train.
The infrastructure is also very good. All the labs are very well maintained.
The main thing is that placement is very well in this College and our teachers gives us proper suggestions and support for the placement.

Dislikes

I genuinely don't like the food from cantine.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because students who prefer to innovate and create something new in the field of information technology or computer science and engineering can learn and gather experience about competitive coding, algorithms DBMS and many other things. In my college, the faculty is very good and they are always very helpful to all the students. If we need them any time they can help us, they can provide us with the materials to increase our experience in this field about all the subjects. As my college is under MAKAUT University there are a total of 4 internal called CA1, CA2 CA3, and CA4 and for the lab examination, there is PCA1 and PCA2. In my opinion, there are some difficult subjects and if we don't give those subjects enough time it is very hard to pass those subjects.

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a 4 year course and its total fee is 3.8lakhs There are many scholarships for the students like the Swami Vivekananda scholarship which provides us 60,000/- per year but we have to maintain our SGPA above 7 and must clear all the semesters

Campus Life

Our campus is very well decorated There's a ground in the middle of the campus, and every event fest and sport is held there. Our library has a huge book collection about every subject and they can provide those books and you can borrow those books for the semester. In our college, there are 4 clubs for external curriculums and they are just mind-blowing Specially Explorica our technical club, and in my opinion the best club in our college

Admission

At first, I joined the college as a CS-DS student then after 1st year I shifted to IT, It's a very good department all my classmates and teachers are very helpful. After taking the WBJEE exam and the counselling process I've selected this College from many colleges. I think the college's very good placement is very good and I guess there is no such process to improve the admission process.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list .
