Course Curriculum Overview

Medical agriculture has the highest scope for better jobs in the coming years. So I chose this course. We have a 30:1 faculty and students ratio. The professors are well educated with PhD in their field and highly professional. There are 66 exams in a year as we've to study 11 subjects per semester with 2 semesters per year.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

Many private fertilizer companies come and give placement to the new pass out students. In the starting phase, they offer 25-30k and after experience, the fees vary according to your skill from 70k-100k. Not very many students take placement as they prepare for IBPS, AFO, and JRF.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very low compared to today's situation. The semester fee is 6775. There are plenty of scholarships for needy students like svmcm, Prime Minister Scholarship, Tata Birla Scholarship, etc.

Campus Life

We celebrate mainly two fests in our University which are social and freshers. Other than that we've celebrated farewell, Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, agrifest, Holi, and Eid. There are annual sports for sports enthusiasts and gyms. Singing is a hobby of most of the students. You can see many groups sitting and singing their beloved songs.

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel room, we got one fan with two lights one bed three tables, and three chairs. The meal is selected by the borders themselves and quality differs according to their choice. The hostel is a must in our University except if your is within 15km.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

The admission process was quite long. I filled up the admission form after the HS result. There are reservation benefits starting from form-filling fees to the counseling process. You can find more details at bckv.edu.in.

I chose this subject because competition for job in this sector is not so high. It's easy to get a job after complete this course. As I say earlier semester examinations are the main examination. The examination is not so hard.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
