The College of the East

The college provides a nice curriculum under the UGC 2022, Changes have happened in the system making it better for the students to gain in-depth knowledge of the course. The ratio is 1/60. Most teachers are PhD degree holders from renowned colleges. They have a good technique of teaching with experience ranging from 7 to 15 years of teaching. The exams are held on time and the schedule is made public at a good time Also passing it is quite simple.

As per my information we are allowed internships at all times but we are encouraged to get one gone before the end of 5th semester so we can go for placement drive after the 6th semester itself. I'm not really sure about the companies and offers for this year but we have some great companies come to campus and select the highly enthusiastic students. The highest package was more than 50 lakhs ctc and the average package is around 8.5 lakhs per annum. Mostly all students get placed. My plans are to complete internships and join one of the best companies and do well there.

Being a private college, KIIT does well enough to provide good infrastructure to the students, the fees in my year of joining was good enough considering it was growing its name in the list of private colleges. The authorities are lenient about the timely payment of fees and allow students to have their time in paying the fee. I'm still a student and have no job and I'm without a scholarship.

The annual fest is called KIIT Fest, The tech fest is a part of the annual fest and it takes place from December to February. We have smart classes installed in our rooms and a great library. The central library is worth a sight, it's beautiful. Kiit gas great infra for sports too, We have tennis courts and hockey stadiums apart from the great number of stadiums in its domain. There are a large number of clubs and societies dealing with extracurricular activities. We have MLSA, NSS, NCC, GFG KIIT etc

I have opted for a 3 bedded AC room which comes with a cupboard a table and a chair apart from the mattress bed and a pair of bedsheets, also they provide you with a bucket. The food in my hostel KP 12 is great, with a good menu. The registration process is a part of the admission process of the college and allotment of hostel is fine in sync with admission.

The admission process was kind of smooth, without much hindrance, we had to pay under a lakh rupees to register a seat based on our marks in JEE MAINS, or KITTY. I was very much eligible to opt for IT in BTECH. We can find all the details regarding the application form, fees and application dates on the official website and also the social media handles of the university. Not sure about the reservation system since I don't have any. I am pretty much happy with the way the admission process is handled, Despite heavy rainfall the admission process was handled nicely.
