Likes

Talk about university then it's very much relatable to Jadavpur University, so i love it.
I liked the infrastructure a lot and also the buildings are most welcoming to watch.
Campus life is much more as you expected. And also there will be much more important things you are going to learn.

Dislikes

I disliked that for the attendance here, you have to attend 60% of the regular classes.
Also I don't like the pond here, because inside the college are most worse.
Campus jobs are not here, because this is the most important things here.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because in the future so many opportunities in English literature that is why I chose this course. A brief about faculty members and students is quite friendly. Exams happened through so much participation.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 2000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The amount that will be needed for this course is much less than you expect, is that only 10000 for 2 years. Talk about scholarships from this university you can apply for every scholarship you are eligible. And Financial assistance will also be there and also there will be so many teachers to help you with this.

Campus Life

Campus life will be so much smooth here. Amazing weather and you will, be enjoying all the jokes here. 1 laks plus books are available in our university library so no problem with that. A lot extra curricular activities are held at our university so not much problem with that, therefore you will be enjoying a lot more capabilities here.

Admission

The Eligibility criteria for admission in the Masters of Arts is Candidates must have scored minimum marks of 50% at the honors level in the concerned subject. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A, B categories minimum mark is 45% at the honors level in the relevant subject. Improvement happening throughout the course.

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

My Experience as an MA Graduate in Jadavpur University

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for camous placemens from the third semester onwards. Companies that have visited the Departmet of Comparative Literature witth campus placements offers are SVF, Hoichoi, Radio Mirchi, Papertrue, LearningMate, among others. Highest package offered by companies is 8.5 LPA Percentage of students getting placements is 85% My plans after getting my MA degree is to go for a PhD.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.

Condition of Law Colleges

I did not apply to other colleges as it is in close proximity. There is only one law college in the district of Purba Bardhaman where I am from. The other law colleges are very far away from my house which would take me 4-5 hours to travel if there is no traffic. Since I didn't apply to other colleges I didn't get any rejection. If considered with other colleges, the studies are more intensive in law colleges under Calcutta University, as the syllabus is more intensive and has more subjects like Land Law which is absent in the curriculum of B.A. LL.B. of Burdwan University. Fees are also very less in government colleges. The fees for one semester in our college are equal to the fees of the entire course fee in a government college. The infrastructure is much better in government colleges with regular moot court competitions and other competitions, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
