Likes

My overall experience was really fun and stimulating , I loved the friends and faculty members i got to meet there. There were all very supportive of each other.
The Campus life was great, we had a huge library, canteen to hang out, read and get connected with students from other departments.
there are no job placements unfortunately but the infrastructure of the university and classrooms are great. the course structure is well crafted, there are lots of things included that will further enhance the learning process.e is enriching and

Dislikes

The one thing i found a bit troublesome was that we do not have a proper campus as of now. But the campus is coming up and it is huge with lots of amenities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was interested in pursuing my Masters's with English Hons. The faculty members were all intellectual and supportive. The strength of my class was 38. Our HOD was Prof. Rosy Chamling, who is also the Dean School of Language and Literature. The exams took place twice in a year with four sessionals and two semesters.

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 4000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the course were very feasible. It was only 4000 for the whole year and the fees that we had to pay in between was also very minimum. They provide some scholarship opportunities that can be found in the university portal itself and they guide you through the process of application. My department did not offer any placement opportunities so I did not avail of any job placement and neither scholarship.

Campus Life

The annual fest is known as Ramailo Sukhim, it is very fun and engaging. The library is so huge you might not want to get out of there, also the classrooms have a smart tv and wifi connection. The extracurricular activities and sports activities take place in the university fest so we can take part in it easily. There are lots of inter clubs in the university like debate, cultural, social, etc.

Admission

I found the course from one of the websites while searching for Central Universities that offer Master of Arts (English Hons) courses. The process of selection was through cut-off instead of appearing for the entrance exam. The eligibility for the course is to get a first class in your graduation and then we are selected based on the cut-off set by the university. The application form can be availed from the Sikkim University website along with the other details. There was a reservation for OBC(NCL) and ST/SC quota, as I belong to General Quota so I did not avail of any benefits. The admission procedure was smooth so I don't think any improvement needs to take place.

Honest my review

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was diverse and more likely never heard of but it was nice I came to know about war and peace why war happens and why peace is very important, how society works, how religion works everything I don't know how good does this curriculum prepares you for real world but gives you more refined knowledge to understand the world. There is always room for improvement in very field that is why our world is changing day by day it improvement afterall. Faculty have come together and find new and imaginative ways to teach so students can understand well. Per semester main exams difficulties are not there if you study not 8 hours a day but understand the concepts.

Placement Experience:

After completing my course their is less employment in our state and we have to go to other state as to work in my course it probably 20% out of 100 will get placement in our state and my plans are like I want to go deeper in my course

A short journey back to my Alma Mater

Course Curriculum Overview:

When pursuing my Bachelors degree i got to know more about the subject and got influenced to continue with the course. The course teaches us so many things about the Functioning, regulating, and embodiment of the government, which is intresting and helpful in day to day life. The study doesn't need any improvements rather it would be better the politicians who run our government should be exposed with the course's curriculum. Exam is held twice a year in Manipal excluding the internal exams and the weekly or monthly tests.

My Undergrad Experience at Sikkim University.

I chose this college because it was feasible and close to my state (Assam). It was the only central university close to my state which provided psychology honors. Honest my review

I had applied at jnu but did not got selected and few others but this university was closer to my home and Sikkim is a great place to study because of the people very good. I feel safe and secure had lots of fun.
