Likes

The faculty is one of the plus point as it is a central university
The university is tied with manipal central referral hospital so everything is free there
Diversity can be experienced as there are people from all parts of the country

Dislikes

The campus is underconstruction so it will take a time.
Due to the ongoing construction many of the departments are still in rented building
The permanent campus location is very remote and the market is also in a rural setting

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers take classes almost everytime.The curriculum is also wuite comprehensive very useful for ugc net exams and future academic endeavors. The sessional exams are conducted every month first of the week

Class Size: 33Course Fees: INR 1200 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The feees is very less during the admission time we have to give 4500 amd semester wise it is only 700 as it is a central university. The university provides a merit cum means scholarship which is 3000 per month which has some criteria fulfilment also there are nsp scholarships

Campus Life

The gangtok campus is all part of rented buildings every different is far from one and in yangang campus most of the things are under construction.Campus is the currently the worst part of this university but after completion it's going to be one of the most beautiful campus of the country.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good and almost all the facilities are there .the fees are also nominal only 1000 per semester. Mess is also nominal rate and good. The procees for hostel is done during counselling. In gangtok only few students are provided .if you get your name in the list you have to pay the fees after that documents verification in provost office after which hostel is provided

Hostel Fee: INR 2200 per year

Admission

My main motive behind joining the institution was it the nearest central university from my honetown ,also the department i choosed i had heard about it's faculty. As it is a central university admission is done via CUET Pg .you have to score a decent marks there to get admission in this university

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite good as there are only 33 students accepted in most of the departments. There are 3 sessionals of 25 marks each and best of two is added the term paper part is quite difficult but prepares us for research paper

Night Life

In gangtok there are lkst of things to vibe but in yangang there is nothing my department is in yangang so it is in a rural setting the university also doesn't provide much for a place to hangout everything is in construction

Honest my review

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was diverse and more likely never heard of but it was nice I came to know about war and peace why war happens and why peace is very important, how society works, how religion works everything I don't know how good does this curriculum prepares you for real world but gives you more refined knowledge to understand the world. There is always room for improvement in very field that is why our world is changing day by day it improvement afterall. Faculty have come together and find new and imaginative ways to teach so students can understand well. Per semester main exams difficulties are not there if you study not 8 hours a day but understand the concepts.

A short journey back to my Alma Mater

Course Curriculum Overview:

When pursuing my Bachelors degree i got to know more about the subject and got influenced to continue with the course. The course teaches us so many things about the Functioning, regulating, and embodiment of the government, which is intresting and helpful in day to day life. The study doesn't need any improvements rather it would be better the politicians who run our government should be exposed with the course's curriculum. Exam is held twice a year in Manipal excluding the internal exams and the weekly or monthly tests.

Honest my review

I had applied at jnu but did not got selected and few others but this university was closer to my home and Sikkim is a great place to study because of the people very good. I feel safe and secure had lots of fun.
