- there is no pressure by professors that you have to attain the class at any cost. And my seniors are told that attendace is not the big issue if you have 65% attendace then it be good but some professors are strict.
- IITD have good campus life mess food is good as my friend told.IITD campus is very clean.
- you can find almost all books in iitd central library.
Dislikes
- in iitd there are most of the classes in 1st year in which professor used to teach approx 400 students at a time so it create difficulties to study for those student who sitted at back.
- sometimes timble software used for attendance not work properly. for that reason attendance remain absent instead of being present in class.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose energy engineering in iitd because it is a new course it has a lot of potentials. you can also find research opportunities in this course.40 students are there in my batch. faculty and TAs are brilliant they help every student in every aspect. most of the teachers are aged as they have a lot of experience of teaching most of the teachers still study and do research a lot. there were 1 minor and 1 major exam however some classes 2 minor and 1 major also happened but genuinely exams are not so much tough as if you study daily you can easily pass even if you can be a topper.
Fees and Financial Aid
tuition fee is 1lakh per semester and institute residential fees are 13250rs and mess fees are 39000 sor approx you have to pay 1.60 lacs per semester so it is quite high but the resources they give like the lab's library are awesome. in IITD there are a lot of banks that are ready to give you loans up to 40lakh and it is pretty easy to sanction a loan as many of my friends avail of loans at 8-9% interest rate. As the energy engineering branch is new so no batch pass out till now so no data about placement but it would be great according to professors.
Campus Life
as I am a fresher and due to anti-ragging purposes we are on a curfew of 1 month so we do not join any club sport etc. IITD is famous for its culture here you find the best environment there are a lot of fests happening at the annual fest in which popular artist visit iitd and perform. There are a lot of lots of books in the central library of iitd you can issue it for 15 days then after you have to issue again the lecture hall complex of iitd is very advanced there is a biometric attendance called Timble which captures your photo and marks attendance at the time of in and out. there are a lot of extra curricular activities in iitd.
Admission
Getting admission to IIT is very tough. first, you have to clear jee mains then you have to clear Jee adv after that you get admission to it according to your rank application form comes online you can fill it out online.to qualify for jee mains for general students need a 90.77%ile percentile for EWS-75.6%ile for obc-ncl 73.61%ile for SC-51.97%ile for ST-37.23%ile.
