Likes

Best thing i like about our college is our teacher. They are very helpful and always ready to solve our problems and doubts.
Our campus is also very beautiful and clean.
Our seniors are very helpful and always treat us like their brother.

Dislikes

We have one serious issue which is attendance issue. We have to maintain 75% attendance.
If we got attendence less than 75% we are not allowed to give examination.
Also our college duration is very vast. Classes starts at 9 AM and ends at 5 Pm with only 1 hrs break. This take our huge time and we get tired a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the faculty members are highly trained and are phd graduates in their different fields . The are the best faculty that can be asked here. There are atleast 150 members here . They are available any time to help students

Internships Opportunities

We are eligible for the Internship after 4 semester. Our college provides various internship opportunities. We have to give test and then we'll be illegible to take internship at any company. Also the internship are paid.

Placement Experience

Placement are also good here. We are eligible for the placement after 6 semester. Our college highest package is 64 lack and avg package is around 9-10 lack. Top companies like Amazon, wipro, Microsoft give placement to students

Fees and Financial Aid

As our college is funded by government so fess is quite minimal. If the student belongs to family whose per year income is less than 5 lack then they have to pay only 2/3 of the total fees and also if any student belongs to the family whose yearly income is less than 1 lack then they do not have to pay any Institute fees. Also our college do not take any fees from SC/ST student.

Campus Life

Campus life is much better than other private college. As we have a huge campus area and beautiful place near or inside the campus. Sports facility are also amazing here. All courts are synthetic. Huge diversity we can se here among student. Also many amazing clubs are here which creats opportunity to learn something new.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are also better here. Every hostel have it separate badminton court and park where student can relax and chill. Rooms are 4 sharing and provided with wifi facility. Registration process is also very easy and can be done in just few hours.

Hostel Fee: INR 8000 per year

Admission

I have got this college through JEE Mains examination. My rank was 27650 (AI) . Under JOSSA counselling I've filled preference for this college in IT branch which I had got in round 6 with closing rank of 27900.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th.
