Beauty of the college , the college is very beautiful.
Placements are descent , and you will get the placement on campus.
Teachers are very supporting and you can ask doubts anytime.

Dislikes

Mess food on few days are very disgusting .
Campus is very beautiful but at the same time its very small.
Connectivity is very bad . You have to either take flight or have to travel 7-8 hours in a cab from jammu to reach srinagar.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because of my interest in the field of technology, I chose this course. The faculty and student ratio is quite good. Teachers are well qualified and help the students to their fullest. Exams are taken on time and i would say that exams are not that much easy to pass, you have to study hard to get good grades.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship is available from the second year, but if you have a talent you can avail internship in your first year also. Approx 90 % of students get internships and most of them are paid. Companies like Oracle, tata, etc are the major ones to provide internships.

Placement Experience

The placements start as soon as you enter the 6th semester. On-campus placements take place. The placement percentage is around 90. The highest package of the ECE branch last year was 35 LPA and average was around 10 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is based on the annual income of the students. For the students having income less than 1 lakh, the tuition fee is exempted, they have to pay only for the hostel and mess. If income is between 1 to 5 lakh then they get a fee waiver of 2/3 rd of the tuition fees. for income > 5 lakh, not get any concession.

Campus Life

Fests like Techvaganza and sports competitions are held annually. Almost all types of books can avail from the library. Classrooms are fully ac and occupied with smart boards. There are so many clubs like Semicolon, Robonox, Soap box, SAE Club, etc.

Admission

Admission was through JEE MAINS, you can find the application form on the official website of NTA. Application fees for the same are 650 rupees. There is a reservation for the different castes. Generally, the cutoff is around 87-88 percentile for general criteria.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Placement Experience:

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
