Likes

I liked the aura of competitions within the students and zeal among the students and faculties towards innovation.
Principal of this college is awesome, he counsels students regarding the career making decision. He is a good teacher too.

Dislikes

Labs equipment are yet to be fully installed.
Issue with the electricity, water. There is a electricity cut during rainy season.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose BTech as I am passionate towards this field and would like to learn more. Faculty= 40: Student=500 All the faculties are having PHd degree, with some pursuing. Teaching methods are well enough. Exams are conducted at regular intervals and it's difficulty level is moderate.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 1000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are minimum as it is a govt. college and cost of study is also moderate, a middle class family can afford it. All the govt. scholarship can be avail in our college, and as per financial assistance, one has to apply for scholarship.

Campus Life

Annual as well as tech fest is being conducted every year on March, name of the fest is RESPLANDOR. Books of all the department are available in our library. Classrooms are well equipped with white as well as black board with benches for students to sit. Extra curricular activities like NSS and different clubs are there. We have annual sport days. Clubs includes BVEC code club , website: coding.bvec.ac.in

Admission

Eligibility - Above 50% in aggregate of PCM in class 12 final exam. On the official website of BVEC Reservation is as per the clause and rules provided by the Assam govt. as it is a Govt. college. It's going smoothly till date.

Placement Experience:

For Campus placement students become eligible during the 3rd year of their course. Apollo hospitals came for the interview and more than 15 students were offered for placement. My plan is to get a work experience and go for further studies or to work abroad.

Remarks:

The location. It has an epic scenery. U never get bored even if ur outside of the college. There is a lake just on its outskirts which are beleived to be made by the mighty Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years. Then there is the Joydol(a temple dated back to the Ahom dynasty).These sceneries tempted me to take admission in this particular college.

Good college. Its the best college near my home. Its graded A by NAAC. This college have good result always under Dibrugarh University. Not so far from my home. A beautiful campas the college have. The college is on the periphery of town. Thats why it has good environment. The students can concentrate in the class. Good facility of toilets. 24×7 hrs water. Remarks:

NIT SILCHAR is one of the technological institutes of national importance established in the year 1950, one of the core learning centre for sciences and technology in north east, gaining spectacular growth in last few years it has secured 10th place out of 31 colleges, having the Asia's largest digital library, your life circle of 7 lives would not be enough to compete all the books, the lush green environment and its location on southern side of kashi hills makes it a magnetic centre for knowledge thus lives. The patron of education and the spice of knowledgeable people from across the country under a 695 acres of land compressing of more than 5000 students is all I can describe my college, words fall short apart. Negative remark as such is its isolation from ROI it takes almost 1½ day to reach West Bengal from Silchar, road connectivity is less and even the climate is unpredictable here the funniest part is I have experienced all 3 seasons in a single day, morning it was raining at afternoon it was sunny and night I was chilled out

Honest College Review

I applied for many college like Assam Engineering college, Jorhat Engineering College and Barak Valley engineering college and i got into BVEC, because my main focus was on two departments first is Computer Science Engineering and the second is Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering . This three colleges provide Electronic department. Yes i did get rejected from both college because my rank was low because I was giving partial drop , i was in a potytechnique before going to B.Tech college. Admission process is easy first they select you and then call for physical verification where they take 6-8 thousand from you and then they call you for final admission where they take 9-10 thousand, to get into this college you must need to conduct COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM(CEE) handles by ASSAM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY, cut off are is you rank is 2000-4000 your eligible for our college and our college rank is in 4th out of 7 college by the under of ASTU....Read More
