Likes

The things mostly I like faculties and their way of teachings
The Infrastructure is alsi very good and clean
Library and Canteen are also there and these are alsi very clean

Dislikes

Actually everything is good there is nothing to dislike
And just Canteen's food should be more hygienic
And there should be a NCC unit for students

Everything is okay but there should bea a exact time for daily routine as many of the students have to come from long distance it would be better if they kindly give the notice for everythings regarding exam on Time

As our College Barak Valley Engineering College had also NSS unit and many internship also happens there and we also attended one of the internship 7 day NSS camp and after the end of 2nd all students must have to attend another internship namt social internship.

Placement Experience

Everything was good but if I talk about placement cell its not so good they should see about it but there are many companies offers as Tata, Infosys,etc. but if I talk about civil department then I can't say anything about placement as because it will be the first batch of civil from BVEC

Fees and Financial Aid

As Our college that is BARAK VALLEY ENGINEERING College,it is one of good infrastructure engineering in Assam in which fee structure is something about 13k per year tgat is for two semesters and Scholarships arr there for the meritorious students

Campus Life

Everything is okay just less placement and there are many extra curricular activities happens in every year one of the program namely Resplandor happen in once every in a year in a big way many singers also attend it.

Admission

If I talk about the admission process first You all have to give an entrance exam that is CEE Combined Entrance Examination fir this you have to eligible and for the eligibility you must have physics , chemistry and Maths subject in your HS .

Every faculties are enough qualified our one of Teacher of BEE ,ge is now doing Phd FromNIT Silchar and most of the teachers are well qualified,our physics ma'am Ayesha Maryam Mazarbbuiya is one of the best teacher.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to participate for Internship placements from 3rd year and FTE offer from 4th year starting. Overall the placements scenarios are pretty good considering it to be a NIT. The overall highest package goes to around 80 lac plus and the average package lies around 18 to 20 lac for CSE Department. The opportunities are great with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia coming for on campus opportunities providing agreat experience

Placement starts from 7th sem . Many companies visited our campus for placement..Top IT Companies that visited our campus is Samsung, Nvidia, Oracle , SAP Lab , Cisco etc Psu also visited for placement... Which includes BPCL, OIL India Limited,EIL, MECON, BEL, HPCL.. etc .. Top core company also visited here ... Which includes vedanta , jsw , Tata Power, Honda etc . Highest package is 82 lpa which is given by atlassian. Average is 6 lpa I am working in infratech company

Let's have a look what is going on inside NIT Silchar

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are allowed to participate in oncampus summar internship and from. 7th semester starting they are allowed for 6 month internship and Full time roles . There is a Training and placement Cell in our college there are some heads of this cell they are senior professors and it have final year students in senior coordinator position and 3 rd year study as probationary. Students bring the companies which fulfills the criteria of TNP cell and each company have their own eligibility criteria and selection procedure. Mostly companies allows 6 cgpa without any active backlog students . But some high paying companies requires 7 or more cgpa . In 3rd year Cisco , microsoft, public sapiens, Tech Mahindra, Accenture ,Oracle and many more companies visited in our campus and hired good amounts of students for summer internship and mostly offers full time role as ppo to students. In 4th year a lots of company like Novartis, amazon, flipkart,aditya birla, Cisco , Deloitte, oracle,ukg, Motorola, siemens , IBM and many more startups visited college and hired .Some paid 15+ CTC and some 6 to 10 CTC . Almost 40% of students are placed till December this year from each branch . Personally I'm planning for taking chances to get an online internship and then try to go for higher studies abroad in automation and robotics.

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Not good at all placements. Worst placement college that is ever been. They couldn't get companies coming to this college after such long times. The only companies which comes gives packeges as low as 200000 per annum. which is worst in these present times.

Honest College Review

I applied for many college like Assam Engineering college, Jorhat Engineering College and Barak Valley engineering college and i got into BVEC, because my main focus was on two departments first is Computer Science Engineering and the second is Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering . This three colleges provide Electronic department. Yes i did get rejected from both college because my rank was low because I was giving partial drop , i was in a potytechnique before going to B.Tech college. Admission process is easy first they select you and then call for physical verification where they take 6-8 thousand from you and then they call you for final admission where they take 9-10 thousand, to get into this college you must need to conduct COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM(CEE) handles by ASSAM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY, cut off are is you rank is 2000-4000 your eligible for our college and our college rank is in 4th out of 7 college by the under of ASTU....Read More
