Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course I opted for is BTech in computer science and communication and the major reason I opted for the course was the future scope in this sector, this sector is growing so rapidly, and with the growth, it brings stability to my career. I hope this choice I made was worth it. The faculty-student ratio at the university is very decent. There is one head teacher for each section of students who we call our mentor and that faculty is available for us every time in need. By the way, there are around 80 students in each section. The faculty that teaches us are well qualified in their respective fields some had pursued their PHDs in their majors and some are currently pursuing every teacher has a different approach to teaching some opt for traditional ways and some go for their ways to make subjects fun and easy. The Term exams are periodic like every 5 or 6 months and after the exams start they occur in a span of a minimum of 10 days for all 3 exams to commence. The difficulty lies in moderate & tough.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Since I'm in 1st year I'm not well equipped with the knowledge of internship opportunities and stipends but if I had to say from my experience is that there is a dedicated placement cell at the university that manages to get internship opportunities for the students.

Placement Experience

4

From the 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. The companies that visit are Wipro, amazon, Accenture, capgemini, and others Total of 1712 offers were made. The highest ctc made was 62 lpa and the average is somewhere between 8.5 lpa. According to college stats, it's 100%. My plans after the degree are to get a well-paid job and if not I'll like to pursue MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee provided at the start of the university remains the same for all the years in the university, though I agree that the cost of the study is a bit high. The university provides scholarships to the top 100 students who appear in the kitee exam now happening offline.

Campus Life

5

I witnessed KIIT silver jubilee celebrations which took place in the month of November and were celebrated the whole month. That was beautiful literally superb. Kiit Central Library is one of a kind in the whole country. The book collection is vast and availability is ensured. The Classrooms come with good ventilation and cooling systems there ACs available in every classroom and lab. Sports are the main aspects of our university the university hoisted khelo india, janjatiya khel mohatsav, and the hockey world cup match. The facilities, courts, and grounds are world-class and produce world-class award-winning athletes. There are a vast number of clubs and societies ran by the students and university from MUN to quizzing they are all managed by the KSAC or KIIT student activity center.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facility depends on the type of hostel and room you opt and for every plus you choose in the room there is a price hike. There are 4 types of rooms: 3-bed non-ac, 3-bed ac, 2-bed ac, 2-bed premium. The meal quality is very good compared to the amount cooked they maintain the quality of food. The hostel registration process happens along with the admission process but you need to be quick for that because the seats for the hostel fill fast and then the seats are gone you will be made to wait for a long. There are rooms near the university but owners sometimes hesitate to provide rooms to bachelors but if you'll search you'll get one.

Admission

The admission process was relatively easy. There is an entrance exam for the university which happens in phases maximum of 4 or 5 phases. Then you need to select the courses you want and according to your score, you'll be given one. Then a mail is sent to you to pay the fee and then you will be told to report to the university in a short period. The fee structure is like during admission you need to pay a sum of 1. 75,000 Then a semester of 1,75,000 and other surpluses like hostel and mess fees. A hostel selection window will be provided. The 75,000 you deposited will be 10,000 for the admission fee and the rest will be for your laptop which the university provides (it's a high-end laptop so need not worry about quality), and other accessories needed by you at the hostel. One major setback I faced in the admission process was the problem of contacting the admission cell because the phone numbers were unreachable all the time.

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
