- They are very strict about attendance and this can be a problem for outstationed students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very accounting and economics oriented. It covers all aspects of finance one would require to learn in a bachelor's degree. The faculty is good, you are provided with notes and reference books to refer to and study from. Most of the faculty are highly qualified. We have two aspects for the exams: internals and externals. Externals are 75 marks long answer type exams while internals consist of 25 marks including both short answer tests, assignments and projects.
Internships Opportunities
In my college I've seen seniors getting amazing roles in companies such a Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs and that too with very high-paying stipends. The roles offered are usually related to the course you're doing.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of my college is extremely impressive. You can get a paid internship at the end of the second year which is compulsory for everyone. It is after the third year that everyone becomes eligible for permanent placement. The average package is about 5-6 lakhs I plan to go abroad for my masters after my bachelor's.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is apt for the course I feel. I don't think there are any scholarships or financial assistance programs in my college as it is an autonomous college and plans its own curriculum other than the one prescribed by the government.
Campus Life
My college is basically the hub for all kinds of fests and extracurricular activists. The college fest called Umang takes place in September and there's more than one tech fest in our college: Arithmos, Arthashastra and Insight to name a few which all happen from Dec to Feb. There's an annual day as well for all the dancers, actors and singers of our college. The library is great and you can get basically any book you're looking for over there. There's a reading room as well where you can sit and study or read. The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards, ac, and whiteboards as well. There are over 20 committees in the college so I'm sure everyone can find one where they fit right in.
Hostel Facilities
The place I live in is extremely close to the college and practically walking distance. The food is okayish, better than most hostels. As for affordability, it's not the most affordable place to live in. Mumbai in general comes with high living expenses.
Admission
There was an entrance exam. Now the college accepts only Cuet for my course. There's a Gujarati minority quota. The application form is on the website of the college itself. The cut-off is usually above 90%.
