The most flexible engineering college in India

I was interested in CSE and RVCE has good placements for this branch. Student ratio is not that significant. Even in male dominant branches like mechanical, the ratio isn't that bad. All colleges will have good and bad teachers, however you'll have to find good mentors for your internships and projects. You'll prepare on your own for internal exams. There are exams every three weeks roughly and lab and project assessmenta continuously going on throughout the sem.

External internships can be got during any year. You can approach the HODs or good faculty for available project and I ternship opportunities. Companies like Samsung also provide paid internships if you're good enough. College will provide you internships from 3rd year.

Placements start for 4th years according to their CGPAs. Companies don't consider students below 6 cgpa while 9, 9.5+ are given really high preference. If you have a strong skillset or special features in your domain, you are good with 8 cgpa also.

The fees keeps increasing. As of 2022, KCET students pay 1.12Lpa, COMEDK around 2.5Lpa and management students pay 65L and 32L for CSE and EC streams for 4 years respectively. Reservations exist but I haven't heard of fee reduction yet. Probably government scholarships can help.

8th mile and E summit are hosted every alternate year. They're pretty famous and call good artists. G summit is more of a technical fest while 8th mile is cultural and fun! Sports are well promoted at RVCE. I know athletes who are really happy they can continue they're career here and also people who came into sports after joining RVCE.

KCET exam, after verification. The rank required through 3BG quota for CSE stream was within 1000. General quota rank had also increased to 400 from 315 upto 2021. Kea site has all the cutoffs off previous years. Check it out.
