Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ceramic engineering cause it has a lot of core opportunities in India as well as research opportunities abroad. There are a total of 63 students in my batch including the Dual degree students. The faculty is good and each one is skilled and quite experienced in their respective fields. We have Mid sems after an average of two months and end sems after the following two months. It's not that tough if you study for 10 days for an examination and practice some mcqs.
Internships Opportunities
Internships have a lot of opportunities here. Many companies like Amazon, Barclays, and many others come to the campus and provide great internship opportunities. Many companies make it eligible for all branches.
Placement Experience
I am planning to get a job in core and work there for a period of time after which I have plans for doing an MBA for which I will sit for the entrances and make sure it is getting cleared otherwise I will stick to the job itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Fee structure for BTech is 99000 per semester which includes the mess fees hostel fees, tuition fees, medical fees, and other curricular activities fees. A fee waiver is given on the basis of annual family income. Scholarships are government based.
Campus Life
The Campus is awesome here. There are a lot of active clubs and starts up running on the campus. The coding culture is great. You can call it a ragging-free campus and the seniors are really great and helpful. Always there by your side. The library has all the books for the course.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel food is good and healthy too. The menu is quite decent. The accommodation can be better. They have converted a single room to Two-seater which makes it a bit difficult to live, the rest all is fine considering the games room, gym, and common room.
Admission
I cleared JEE mains examination where I scored a percentile of 94.87. After this, I enrolled in Josaa counseling where I was allocated a seat in ceramic engineering at NIT Rourkela. The admission fee is 35k which is given in the first round of josaa counseling to accept the seat if alloted any and an amount of 40k is paid at the end of 6th round of counseling to freeze the allocated seat.
